Montana @ Idaho State ending ? ? ?

Anybody see this crazy ending?

Now having seen this video over and over to me it looks like the Montana Griz player who "tossed" the ball into the air for his team mate to catch was on the ground with possession of the ball, therefore making the Montana player down on the field.

at 13 seconds, the Montana player has possession of the ball with his right knee down on the field. He should automatically be down at that spot on the field, but was allowed to instead toss the ball to his team mate for the Montana touchdown and win. Apparently the call on the field was reviewed and upheld.

Personally I don't agree with the call and a horrible ref call helped the Griz walk out of the potato barn with a win. Granted if ISU's long snapper would have snapped it correctly there would be no discussion.

Judge for yourselves, but to me this was a bad call on the part of Big Sky officiating. A loss to Idaho State would have ended any chance of making the playoffs for the Grizzlies, but "fortunately" for them, they still have only 4 losses and are still playoff eligible………..hmmmmm :stir:

Hard to tell when possession is established without another camera angle but from that one it sure looks questionable, at best. Similar to the Miami game a few weeks ago? I believe the officials in that one were suspended or reprimanded in some manner.

I hate the Gizz as much as everyone else, but he was off the ground after gaining possession. Once with possession the ball was thrown behind him. That is a TD. Crazy ending. Poor Bungles. They could have ended Montana's season. But regrettably, we all have to continue to deal with idiot sheep molesters and their playoff dreams. I say the Cats should thoroughly punish the Bungles this weekend for allow such a travesty to continue.
