Good win on Thursday.

Some thoughts.

- Good crowd. I have to think that if our record were a bit better and we were fighting in the top three spots in the BSC, we’re probably getting over 2k for this game.

- Great energy out of the gate. Active hands getting on balls and rebounding was great. I think the points that we got off of turnovers really told the tale of the energy we brought.

- Shooting. 88.5% from the stripe? Who is this team. ;-) Cooled a bit in the second half on the three balls, but I’ll take over 40% any day.

- Boo Boo. So close to 40.  Heck of a game. He had a few Lillard moments, “no, no, don’t shoot that…. oh hell yes!” Kind of speechless about his performance at the stripe. 21/21. Amazing. There was only a few of those makes that even touched the rim. Talk about being in a zone and being absolutely clutch down the stretch. He still has his moments where he just starts dribbling and you can tell he isn’t going to pass. That one that resulted in a jump ball (turnover) with Falls on him kind of stood out as something I’d rather not see. He and Falls had some words. Not sure why, but I kind of like it when things start to get a little saucy with Montana out on the hard wood.

- Late game management. What in the heck are we doing fouling them with 1:02 left with an 11 point lead? Of course they make both, we get fouled and only make one of two, then a Montana three to cut it to a 7 point game with 14 seconds coming off of the clock in that time period. Oh, and then after a great dribble out by Boo Boo he tries to pass and turns the ball over with 32 seconds left when he’s the exact guy we want getting fouled. Basket Montana, and it’s now down to five. Fortunately we held on, but that’s the stuff that turns a good win into a loss.

- Geez, are we really up to seven games without Hauser?. :-\

On to Southern Utah. A road will would sure be nice.

About the only place I don't like getting "saucy" with the Griz is at the bar after the game. Other than that, on the court or the field doesn't really matter to me. It is always good to knock them down a peg. :thumb:

I had one of my Griz friends give me crap after the game in Missoula. I told him things would be different out here. Let me say I have a nice Ruth Criss dinner coming next time he is in town. :D

In the dictionary under "Arrogance" it says, "See Montana Grizzly athletics".
