Haha, that is what I was wondering. I wonder if the guy just liked the tee shirt's design and it happened to say Montana Football. Looks like a pretty generic design (any state + football). In any case, I am glad that you weren't super salty in your post.

There's a lot of weird football shirts in Europe. I have no idea why. I once saw a guy wearing a "Los Angeles Rebels" leather jacket and it had a football helmet with a stars and bars Confederate flag. There's a lot of random strangeness there... Especially considering this was probably a few hundred dollars for the jacket.

That said, pretty funny..
