Montana St

Tough break for Jenks but the dislocate maybe not as horrendous as it looked. Wishing him a quick and full recovery. I hope some good can come from it in forcing Weber to get more development and full games out of Constantine. The offense can be so frustrating and detrimental to the team and then it can look decent like in the 2nd half.

NAU destroyed by NoCo, that loss in Flagstaff might really bite Weber in the @$$ down the stretch!

My .02
Ugly, gritty win.

Offense - C plus
Watched the game in person and then watched it again on DVR. Running game was relatively dominant. Outside of the interceptions, I actually thought we made some progress. Both QBs found some passing routes underneath the coverage. Most of the throws were good and the receivers made more catches. Two really bad throws in my opinion and one horrible read. The first interception was not Constantine's fault. Rasheed bobbled the pass and then it bounced around just enough to be picked off. 2nd interception was a miserable throw by Constantine. It looked like he tried to aim the ball rather than pass the ball. 3rd interception was a bad read and a good jump by the MSU defender for a pick six. Only other throw that gave me heartburn was the pass to Garrett on about the 10 yard line, Garret made a leaping catch or that throw might have been interception number 4. We also took a little too long in the pocket a few times, but much better overall.

Defense - A minus
Outside of the one long run by Andersen and the TD by Johnson, I thought we played very good assignment sound football. No sacks, but the Bobcats really didn't throw the ball much and when they did we applied pressure almost every throw. Both interceptions came at key times in the game to either change momentum or kill the last remainder of hope for a feeble Bobcat attack.

Special Teams - C plus
Not much to get excited about. The double missed field goal was deflating. A couple decent returns and a punt downed inside the five yard line. They really didn't want us to beat them on special teams.

One final note, Jenks' injury was pretty gruesome. Hope it heals well and he comes back with no permanent issues. I thought it was pretty classy of MSU to come out to the cart and wish him well. Could have been the defining moment of the game. We either pack it in and take the loss or we fire up and take the game away from MSU. Glad it went our way.

Ugh, I feel sooo bad for Jenks. Great kid and all I can hope for him is that he heals up quickly and doesn't have to go under the knife. After he went down, it seemed as if Constantine became a man possessed. He went right after the Bobs. I loved his moxy on Saturday. However, our offense, for a while there, did a lot to help the Bobcats stay in that game. Really, the Cats spotted the Bobs 17 points. MSU's offense really only scored once (the 70+ QB draw...that was seriously impressive). If Weber can get its offense to become consistent, then the Sky needs to be wary of the Wildcats. The biggest issue with this team is our offense. Once that starts to click, who knows how much better this team can get.

Montana State has demoted their OC and fired their QB coach after the loss to Weber. Not sure what the head coach expected. He is playing a LB as the QB.

Many on the Bob's forum are calling for the entire staff to be fired. Their forum is sounding more and more like eGriz. Even eGriz is chuckling at them. Their offense scored on one big play and our offense gave them three scores. IMHO, they got a little lucky to even be in that game. They needed a dose of reality, but they have gone all bat crap on themselves.
