Montana State vs UC Davis

Final Score 77-37
Total Yards:
Montana State - 737
UC Davis - 610

Well, I think the question of who has the worst defense has been answered. The crazy observation is Prukop had a QB rating of 275.1

I think Prukop has proven that he deserves to be on the Payton watch list this year.

Our coaches have figured out that if our defense gets 3 and outs that our offense is on the field too often and gets tired out.

I watched some of that game towards the end. 77 points?

We seemed to have gone with a much different game plan than MSU did against Davis. Although they kind of grinded us out in the 1st half, I think our defense did a much better job of stopping their running game.

UC Davis had a totally different offensive strategy against MSU. Started a more mobile QB and Gabe Manzanares was healthy against MSU. UC Davis definitely opened up their offense against MSU but it only seemed to add fuel to the Bobcat's offensive fire. A much more open offense against MSU compared to the offense that the EAGS saw.

That win over MSU in Bozeman looks like a big one now. I'm glad the Eagles got them early in the year before they got their mojo. They'll be tough to beat from here on out. It'll be interesting to see what happens when the Bobcats O matches up with the Griz D.

Bobcats win the Brawl, ewu also beat MT in Cheney. Shared championship and montana still manages to make the playoffs.

Name 1 time when the bobcats put a beatdown on the Griz. Not going to happen. The last time msu thought that they would put a beatdown on the Griz they had just gotten their number 1 ranking and the Griz rolled onto bozeman and dismantled them 35 to 3 on their own field.

 Touched a nerve? Had to create an account just to post this?

Montana has been a dominant school for decades. That is why they have dominated their rivalry. However, this is an era where Montana has lost its dominance. They may or may not regain it. For now, it isn't out of the question to predict a strong win by Montana State over a struggling Griz team.

I am wondering how much the recent events with the legal system have hurt their recruiting in Missoula. Because of all that mess I wouldn't let my kids go their . . .even if it was free!
BTW I am in the same boat . . MSU steamrolls the Griz this year! :thumb:  :twocents:

Griz fans are getting awful sensitive and defensive these days. I think they're finally realizing what most observers have known for a few years, and that's that the Big Sky is turning in to a conference of high powered offense and athletes (like the {Pac 12 did and the SEC is currently doing) and they're behind the 8-ball. As it is now, EWU and MSU represent what college is and is becoming, and that's what recruits are excited about. UM is on the outside looking in.

I think an awful lot of schools across the country would have a tough time stopping us, MSU, or ISU, including Montana.
