MONTANA STATE WEEK

And maybe we on this forum should stop acting like we know everything that goes on behind the scenes in the athletics department and stop acting like we could run things better, because I doubt we could.
Whether I agree with your take or not, this is a fan board, and this is still America where we still have freedom of speech(for now anyway). As long as none of us are personally attacking a individual player then I think it is just fine to play a little Monday morning QB. :twocents:

Anywho, back to the game. I have the Weber State defense being the difference maker in this game with the Offense doing just enough to get the W.
WSU 14
MSU 10

According to weberstatesports.com tickets, 11,364 tickets have already been sold which means only 6,136 tickets are available.

Not sure I believe this, but if it's true that's really cool.

Neither do I, but if it is. That's awesome! I have a feeling that a number of tickets have been purchased by MSU fans. They always travel well. Athletics is probably counting faculty season tickets, which they should. The ticket are season tickets and have been printed. Now, whether or not those faculty members actually go to the game is another thing. Lastly, I'm thinking that Athletics has set up some type of promotion with an organization or company. What would be interesting to see, is the number of actual tickets that have been bought. How much revenue has actually been generated? That is a better indicator of actual availability and marketing success.

No way that 11,000 tickets have been sold. Unless Jerry Bovee handed out more than 4 freebies to each question on his "twitter takeover."

WE HAVEN'T WON IN OGDEN AGAINST BOBCATS SINCE 1996!!

End the drought and get a win boys!! We are due! Time to get a win against MSU at home and win 4 in a row for the first time in 8 years!!

Hey, just maybe some of the coaches really are looking at the post of the 6 of us that are on this blog.

For the record, the athletics department is well aware of this forum, and honestly when they do bother to read it they laugh at a lot of the bullshit on here.

Since 2010 through 2015 in six seasons the Wildcats are 23 L and 45 W! So yes I do think that fans need to be objective and call out the facts when the administration, coaches or players are not performing. I am glad that you know the folks in the athletic department and that they told you that when they read this forum they laugh. The only real laughing matter is the pathetic record of the athletic department in developing a football program. Your right who should question the WSU athletic department. They have put together a program that loses 2 games for every 1 game they win. Any way you look at it, thats losing and not winning. I for one don't find a 23-45 record something to laugh at, however I guess the athletic program does according to your inside information.

GAME DAY!

Big Boys are resting (BYU after midnite win, USU idle, Utes are in wet Oregon vs St.) so lets all go to Stewart Stadium & cheer on the Wildcats over the Bobcats in an interesting cat fight.

I'm saying It's all good on this forum, the positives :thumb: the negatives  the laughers ; as long as it doesn't get personal with mud-slinging (like politics); hey, it's all interesting input at the reader's choosing...

Have fun today, hopefully with a Wildcat win!!

MY MY! Wildcats up 28-7 in the 2nd Qtr...offense performing on all cylinders (with the help of a turnover here & there)...great offense or what's up with Montana State's defense??

Keep it up Wildcats. :thumb:

Holy crap! 42-14 at HALFTIME!

I just looked up box scores going back to 2006 and 42 points is the most the Wildcats have scored in the first half of a game.

  Weber has never sold 11,000+ tickets to a game in their history. The crowd was absolutely pathetic. Where I was sitting MSU fans outnumbered Weber fans 3 to 1.

Wow, can't believe how bad MSU has become. Overall Weber played pretty good, but the Bobcats are just bad. Really bad. Really hard to tell how good this Weber team is as they've only played the four worst teams in the conference. Next week will tell us a lot more.

Good to get a win against the Bobcats again, I don't care how bad they are. Offense played well. Defense had a hard time stopping their QB when he ran. But oh well 4 game win streak is nice. And for those of you saying it's only because of the teams we played. My only rebuttal is the good teams beat the bad ones and Weber is.

Good Job Weber

Final Game Wrap Up-
POSITIVES:
Weber Wins Four in a Row! Long time in coming
Weber Scores 42 points in one half
The weather was perfect
Clark has the best half of his career. He was a freak the first half!
The offense in the first half was creative
The WR's and TE's Caught the Ball in the first half
Zach Smith touched the ball
HOSKINS 30# recovers a fumble that started WSU rolling-Told you 4 weeks ago this kid needed to be a starter
7# Burton keeps on making tackles, (not sure if you want your safety being your leading tackler)
Saw new blood and new players during the game 83# Tunney 31# at RB and Cheeseburger 11#
MSU defense - Thank you
Livingston scores twice after getting blanked the first five games.
31# RB runs extremely hard, not much speed or jukes but runs hard.
Specialty Teams unfire!92 fumble recover, punting, kicking, punt returning all good.
Big time ringing the bell after the game.
Band was pretty darn good at half time and during the game.

Negatives:
WSU in the 2nd half-(Its hard to come out strong the 2nd half when you score 42 points in the first)
WR Denby 3# gets tackled from behind by a linebacker?
Drew 6# gets pancaked when he is trying to block a Defensive back, embarrassing
23# Hills favorite gets a face mask on critical third and long.
The Defense outside containment is going to kill all of us. They couldn't stop a week old fart. They only thing that stopped MSU offense was the officials/penalities and mistakes.
42 jumps offsides with 4th and one when the defense held. Take him out coach
33 drops his normal pass every game.
Lopez gets a misconduct call, Common Man
Where the frick is the fan base??? YBU played the night before, U of U of of town, perfect weather, 4 game win streak and no fans show up???? Pathetic just pathetic
Clark throws picks in the second half and it could of been more if the MSU defense would not of dropped them
Zach Smith got a quick 6 yards his first carry, but no magic after that. Common man I have been pushing you for weeks now! Guess Hill was right and I was wrong, maybe we see a different Zach at SUU
LB's never showed up in this game! Again!
24# running back high ankle sprain

ZACH SMITH
Hey, just maybe some of the coaches really are looking at the post of the 6 of us that are on this blog.
We will all get a chance to see Zach Smith in the line up this Saturday. He has been getting some serious reps this week with the first O. Better late than never, can't wait to see big number 4 in action against a better team than we have seen in the past 3 games. Wishing you well 4#. Now that they are changing some RB's maybe we can get them to do the same at WR, Kick off and Punt returns, but I doubt it. Watched practice this week. No wonder WSU has no vertical passing game. Yes, I was playing hookie from work. Everything in practice was dink and dumps. You can't master what you don't practice. Our all american LB 8# is out for the season with a medical redshirt even though he was named a captain. 30# Hoskins our future Devonte shutdown corner was looking really strong in the secondary as well as the YBU transfer that will start next year in the secondary!
I have to give it to you on your prediction of #4 you nailed it. 1 carry for -2 yards. You said he would get in and he did.

Not surprising, but disappointing considering the recent wins by the Wildcats & good weather...
But: 1) afternoon game (attendance always drops from nighttime games), 2) game on regional TV (if not KJZZ, it's the regional BSC game on Root Sports & MSU's connection), 3) Fans more interested in other things on a nice Sat. afternoon, (might mention not insignificant is deer hunting opening, though minor anymore).

It is what it is. :ohno:

It wasn't the deer hunting opening weekend. The general elk hunt is still going and they don't overlap...

That was one of the best halves of football I have ever seen a WSU team play. We were dominant on both sides of the ball in that first half. We took our foot off the gas a bit in the second half. I think that happened for a couple of reasons. First, I think our coaching staff didn't want to run up the score. Second, we started playing a lot of the reserves and the play calling became quite conservative. It's good to get some reps for those guys who usually don't see any time. It may help us in the future. I had the feeling that we could have scored more, if we had wanted to and held them to less as well. I think we showed a lot of improvement over the last few games. The game was over at the half. Other coaches may have run the score up, but why? :coffee:

You could have said the same thing about the game against South Dakota... We are not good enough to ever let off the gas. Play the full 60 minutes and who cares if the other team gets their feelings hurt.

The only other reason to keep scoring is for playoff implications... assuming we are in the mix at the end of the season curb stomping teams could be the difference between being in or out, and seeding. For example, we beat Sac St 14-7, UM beats them 68-7... I do think it's good to play some reserves for future building. Keep the fans involved, keep scoring, & keep winning.
