Love Jeremy Senglin. He kept the Cats in it with some acrobatic layups in the first half, but his free throw shooting is head scratching. 1-7...it is almost to the point that you don't want him in the game at the end because you can't count on him to hit his freebies. Heavens, he almost air-balled the first of three in the second half and he shot a lot of 3's that he shouldn't have. He was pushing it a bit at times.

Hill and Braxton were men possessed!! Hill had an absolutely awesome game, once he settled down and I loved watching Braxton go to town. He had a whale of a game. Gitten's defense was solid and he had some really nice drives. His outside shot wasn't falling, but then again, nobody's was. Imagine if he would have hit 1 or 2? I love the energy he brings to the floor and his passion. He is always trying to get the crowd jazzed. CROWD? It was big, but somewhat quite. I don't understand why they do the "baby-cam" with 5 to go and the Cats holding onto a 3 point lead. YES...lets kill the excitement and the crowd's energy. At that point, you need good music to keep the crowd in the game. Game atmosphere is really weird. Improving, but still really weird. Lastly, I have to say this, I'm really pissed that the usher's told the football team to sit down. Uh...Section A is a student section. Finally, we have a decent student crowd and the ushers/cops are telling STUDENTS to sit down in their section so that blue hairs can see. Uh...check their tickets to see if they should be sitting there or not. I'm pretty sure most of the folks complaining about the team standing don't actually have tickets in that section.

To me, however, I really think that Baker was the unsung hero last night. They guy had some huge plays. He made some solid passes, huge rebounds, and scored points when we needed them. Loved his rebound at the end of the game. I was shocked he didn't get whistled for a foul on the play, but his toughness was stellar.

I agree on all of this, especially Baker, I also thought he was gonna get called for a foul on that play but the replay plainly shows he got all ball as he wrestled it away. Good job refs keeping your whistles silent there.

I remember looking over at my dad when the audio guy started playing Welcome to the Jungle and I said to him they should really be playing Joker and the Thief, the crowd was into it at that moment and we all know how much that song gets the crowd energized. Total miss on the audio guy

When he literally took the ball from that Bobcat player who was going up for a shot, I was just laughing. Even on the reply it was kind of a stunning, physical play.

But I'll add Richardson who has turned into a pretty good passer (still wish he wasn't such a streaky shooter). I'll often watch Braxton and Hill struggle to get position on the low block and murmur "now" when they have position. The one guy who delivers the ball on that "now" note is Richardson. He had some very good assists last night when Braxton and Hill were in their best spots to score.

I thought the defense was superb. Hill and Braxton played their guys very soft and stayed in the middle which consistently cut of Colbert, especially in the second half. And we switched very effectively. But Hall was really fun to watch. I was surprised he was 9 for 21 as he seemed to hit almost everything through the middle of the game. A natural scorer. Fun crowd. We were into it!

Not trying to be negative, just saying, part of the reason for the good crowd was the free ticket promotion. We can thank America First for that. Still, Weber didn't do much to get the word out. I'm a CU member and I had no idea about the promotion until I got to the game. Just think what the crowd could have been like if it had been better promoted. I for one would have brought more people with me had I known.

And is too much to ask for Super Annoying Fat Guy to look half way presentable? Dude looks like he hasn't showered, shaved, or combed his hair in days, sags his pants, and eats pizza on the floor.

I heard at the game that Joel could have played tonight if needed. I also heard he will play on Saturday. One of the ushers told me that.

I heard a similar thing from a student who supposedly has some ties to Joel.

I love seeing Coach Hill, decked in Wildcat purple, supporting the bball team and genuinely excited for them and to be there supporting them. :thumb:

SWeber?? You really expect too much from athletics. This is a department that is happy with mediocrity. Average, decent, okay are words they cherish. Those are badges of honor.

As long as Le Goocher is in charge of marketing, don't expect to see athletics actually trying to fill the stadium or market their programs. I mean, who wants fans? What we can expect from out untouchable marketing director, is constant harassment of the ball boys for not holding their brooms correctly. If he was as worried about filling the stadiums, promoting the programs, MARKETING, as he is about how a ball boy holds a broom, it would be a sellout every game. Just enough Cats!!
