Montana's to WAC?

With all the Texas additions, why would the Montana's want to move to a conference that is moving from the WAC(Western Athletic Conference), to the SAC (Southern Athletic Conference)?

That conference would cost the Montana's big time money.

The Southern Conference already exists. A better name for this POS that the WAC has become would be a resurrection of the old SWC name.

Would love to know which school was recently approached by the WAC if it wasn't Montana. Fullerton is definitely playing defense against the WAC, who is trying to poach his schools. We saw this play out with the WAC and the MWC. WAC lost that battle and they don't appear to be doing well in this one either.

If things played out where the BCS split and the other FBS schools merged with the FCS, I can't decide if that would be to our benefit or not. Would that just widen the divide between the two leagues where the BCS just gets ALL of the tv money? I understand how the Big Sky could be comfortable with the change, but for any school trying to increase their status, it makes it just that much more difficult. I can't see any scenario where the FCS can compete for status or money against the BCS schools.
