Mountain Lions in Trouble

Per CBS-13 in Sac, Sacramento Mountain Lions (UFL) players are quitting in droves over bad ownership from Mr. Nancy Pelosi. The team owes former coach Denny Green $1.5M, players haven't received a full paycheck this entire season, there is no team weight room, and players are being fed hot dogs for dinner.

I haven't heard of this happening on a professional level since the Hawaiians of the old WFL, when starting QB Sonny Sixkiller quit because he wasn't getting paid. On ANY level, we saw something similar with the Lodi Grape Sox, a summer college baseball team whose owner Stevie Mac went to jail for failing to pay game vendors, among other things.

:ohno:

That whole league doesn't seem so great. Currently, there are only 4 teams, IIRC, and two have already relocated (I think). Has anybody here attended a UFL game? How is it?

I went to several of the "MoLo" games in 2010. They were awesome. Tons of alcohol inside Hornet Stadium, FloRida at half time, people EVERYWHERE. Just made me wish they still served booze for Hornet games... stupid CSU...
