Mountain Lions Moving to Raley Field

Just heard on news radio the Mountain Lions are moving to Raley Field. Any impact to Hornet Stadium?

Just heard on news radio the Mountain Lions are moving to Raley Field. Any impact to Hornet Stadium?

Cant say I blame them. Much better concessions, restrooms and atmosphere.

Not sure what these people added to the stadium besides some money to help offset the turf install last year.

That's been in the works for quite some time. It could be a mistake since Raley Field was designed strictly for baseball. The sight lines COULD be an issue for fans a la PSU. Only time will tell.

That will kill some dates for Hornet Stadium, but it COULD be impetus for getting rid of the erector set seats like the school SHOULD have done twenty years ago....

Good riddance. We were able to get money out of them to put in new turf but other than that I don’t think there was much benefit to Sac State with having the Mountain Lions use Hornet Stadium. The UFL cut its season short last year and only has 4 teams this year; its days are numbered.

Not sure why you think it kills any Hornet football games as none of these games are on the same day as one of ours and the closest home dates for both is Nov 2nd and Nov 3rd. We have MSU coming to town that date and the only fan base that travels better than them is your favorite team.

Since we have had those seats since the 1992 expansion for almost 20 years before the Mountain Lions showed up, why would you think we would get rid of them since we have had probably numerous times to do so?
