Latest MWC and WAC news, if you care.
Jared Eborn, a reporter for the Deseret News, covers the Utah State Aggies and has tweeted (http://twitter.com/DesNewsEborn) that a USU source has informed him that the MWC will be expanding to 12 teams with USU and Hawaii or Houston. There seems to be some uncertainty as to whether its Hawaii or Houston due to UH being thrown around. I would bet its Houston. Besides Eborn, others in the "know" have set the USU Aggie message board into hyperdrive; http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=208&f=2746&t=6242340. BYU would play all sports in MWC, but play football as an Independent. Supposedly, there is a presser on Monday.
If true, the WAC, already on life support, may be snuffed out. With Utah State and either Houston or Hawaii, the WAC would lose two more schools. If Houston, than La Tech would bolt to Conference USA.
And yes, conference realignment is the best entertainment you can find on a late Friday night.
