Mouse Davis to step down

Just heard that MD is offically retireing, June Jones says that MD isn't but Mouse himself will retire on April 1st.....hmmmm...maybe it's a joke /users/31/07/37/smiles/noidea.gif

WOW!!! Probably a joke. But if you're going to retire, Hawaii is a great place to do it.

So much for Mouse's best-laid plans.
UH assistant coach Mouse Davis plans to retire when his contract expires April 1.
But June Jones thinks otherwise.
"I'm not letting Mouse retire," Jones said. "He's good for our program. He does a lot for us. The players like him. The coaches like him."
Davis coordinates special teams and helps with the offensive line.
Davis, who is Jones' mentor, had offered to retire, in part, because he wants to free up room on the coaching staff. Offensive line coach Dennis McKnight is a graduate assistant.
Jones said: "We'll make it work out."
"I appreciate June's comments," Davis said. "I never say 'never.' We'll see how it works out."
