Mouse Davis Returns to UH Football
HONOLULU --
The University of Hawaii football team on Friday will announce it has rehired Mouse Davis to replace outgoing coach Ron Lee, sources told KITV4.
A news conference is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Lee's last official day as wide receivers coach of the UH football team was June 15 after 11 seasons with the Warriors.
Davis, 77, returns to Hawaii after joining Gerry Glanville as offensive coordinator at Portland State. Davis served under June Jones for three-seasons.
To many, Davis is the father of the run-and-shoot offense with NFL, USFL and arena football experience.
Previously at Portland State, with Jones as one of his quarterbacks, the Vikings led the country for six consecutive seasons in total offense.
