MSU @ Idaho

I watched the second half. Both teams looked bad; that was more in line with Montana State's end of year form. They look like they've taken a big step back this year. These teams are going to have to improve a lot to make any noise this season.

As my girlfriend said, playmaking was nonexistent and the only exciting parts of the games were due to blatant errors on the passing and receiving corps... The wrong kind of excitement. I am so glad I tuned in for the NDSU/Chuck Southern game, rather than this one, to kick off the college football season.

Interesting fact:

Montana State scored more points (17) that all of the other Big Sky teams in action last night combined.

UND, thought to be a title contender, only managed 9. Webber scored 6, while Southern Utah got blanked.

In fairness to Southern Utah, their defense looked great.

it was bad....really bad. Both teams look like lower level Big Sky teams.

It's hard to take away too much from the first game of the season, but yeah...it was a pretty ugly game between two teams that didn't seem to have a ton of talent.

Meanwhile, Cal Poly gave University of Nevada, a middle of the road FBS team, all that they could handle.
