Durn straight. Big time programs (e.g. UConn) are just that. Big. Look at their roster. Their guards 5-7, 5-9, 5-10, 5-10, 5-11; their forwards are 5-11, 6-0, 6-3, 6-3; and their centers are 6-3, 6-3, 6-5. How are we comparing?

13 Brianna Banks 5-9 Guard FR Newnan, Ga.

32 Heather Buck 6-3 Center/Forward RS JR Stonington, Conn.

31 Stefanie Dolson 6-5 Center SO Port Jervis, N.Y.

5 Caroline Doty 5-10 Guard RS JR Doylestown, Pa.

12 Lauren Engeln 5-11 Forward SO Laguna Hills, Calif.

34 Kelly Faris 5-11 Guard JR Plainfield, Ind.

14 Bria Hartley 5-7 Guard SO North Babylon, N.Y.

3 Tiffany Hayes 5-10 Guard SR Lakeland, Fla.

25 Michala Johnson 6-3 Forward SO Bellwood, Ill.

23 Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis 6-0 Forward FR Anaheim Hills, Calif.

41 Kiah Stokes 6-3 Center FR Marion, Iowa

With UCon's reputation (first in the nation year in year out) they have their pick of recruits. Notice that none of those recruits were from Connecticut? They're from all over the country. We should be happy we picked up one 6'3" this year.

Grow 6' and over recruits? Oregon produces a few of those. They tend to go to the Pac-12. But if you mean "grow" the way Burton seems to be doing, marketing PSU as a realistic national contender and spreading it around the high schools, I agree whole-heartedly. In the meantime our 6'ers have got to do a better job rebounding. Right now we're relying on the drive and energy of Lanz, Greene, and yes, Samms to pull them down.
