As you know Alabama got their a&& kicker last night. Was it because of talent on the field or coaching?
My opinion is the talent was in favor of Clemson but not to the point of 44-16 final score. I think Alabama got out coached in the motivational aspect of the game. Looking at Saban and Dabo I can see why kids would work harder for Sweeney than Saban. As we all know winning happens from now until Sept 1. Kids are more likely to run that extra mile, or not miss a workout for someone they like more so than a coach they fear.
I think that is what we have in our coaching staff, the kids work hard for them because they respect them.

I'll agree with everything you posted. Those two teams were pretty even in talent, and one just played much better than the other. It wasn't unlike our game with NDSU; unfortunately, they just played better that day. Sometimes it isn't that complicated, the team that plays better (even if they have a little less talent) tends to win.

As for Dabo, you can tell his players really love playing for him. Eastern's guys feel the same about Best. It's great to have a coach that engages and challenges the players in a positive way.

And for the complete opposite, just look at Jose Mourinho. Guy had all the money and talent available and still struggled because he rubbed his players raw.
