NAU part 3

On the plus side, Weber recently played NAU and had an unbelievable comeback.
On the negative side, NAU played a great game and can compete with Weber.
When they played last week, weber was traveling from Sac to Flagstaff in about 36 hours. Weber was out of gas in the second half, yet still managed to come back and win. Weber will have four days to rest and prepare. Look for a 14 point win for Weber.
 
Time to go back up to Missoula, and looks like NAU is our first round opponent, they were one of two teams I didn't really want to see again, but it is what it is. NAU will most likely play that zone against us that was pretty effective in Flagstaff. Lets hope Weber can hit hit their shots. We will most likely face the winner of SUU/UND, unless SUU beats UND, then we will most likely play UNC, and if both SUU and MSU win, we will play MSU in round 2.

First round

Montana State vs Northern Colorado
Southern Utah vs North Dakota
Northern Arizona vs Weber State
 
Tough draw, nau played the zone well tonight. They are a solid team, Weber needs to get hot early. It would be tough if you had to get msu in the 2nd round. They might be tough out. Hope to see y'all in the ship

Nau isn't a team to avoid. It does not matter who we play. They are 11-19 and rpi worse than 260. We can beat them a third time. we need to just beat who ever we play. we need to get it done!

Nau very good game against us in both games this year. They even shot 50% and had only 7 to's in ogden. In flag, well u saw that early start time and we all know over the years that is the worst road trip for travel.

This is totally different, neutral court. We will be rested. Dalberg will be rooting against us but how many will show up at 3pm on a thurs when griz dont play til fri?

Doubtful any Griz fans will be rooting for NAU after the end of last night's game. Things got a bit "testy" between the two teams and the Griz fans were none too happy.

Hope to listen in on the radio while at work Thursday.

Ahhh, don't worry, seems to fit into the normal order of games ending at Missoula...sure that Griz fans will be wanting to scream their wrath on a couple of Wildcat players if they get their chance. Expect that the Montanans will be cheering against Weber most of all :evil:

Does anyone know if these games will be picked up on XM radio?

I will be travelling on Thursday and would like to listen to the game. If not, I can read about it when I get to my destination for the night. If we are playing on Friday, I should be able to pick that one up. :rockon:
 
Hate how this game starts at 3, I dont even get off work till 3:30 on thursday and wont get home till close to 4, I'm gonna miss the entire first half of the game.
 
what can be said of a team the Cats are playing for a third time. I expect 1 or two things to happen. Either NAU comes into the game with confidence, especially from the last time we played the Jacks, or they are completely demoralized and roll over quick. I'm expecting a dog fight with the Jacks. But this time the Cats will be well rested and ready for the Jacks. I'm thinking Weber wins by 10-15.


Wildcat I'm in the same boat. I'm stuck in a meeting from 3-4:30. And it is on campus!!
 
Guys, get the smartphone app to listen to 1280thezone, put the headphone in your ear to listen while leaving the other ear open to half-listen to the meeting you are attending. If they ask about the headphone, tell them you have a family issue pending and you didn't want to disturb everyone in case a call comes through.....

Who knows, maybe they will buy it?

As for the scuffle thing, it looked like from my seat Cherry was talking to Rogers who got upset and got physical. Definitely trash from both sides and pushing from both sides though. And it was still during the game.

I'm gonna try to listen to it here at work, I'm gonna have to bring a radio in and everything, since I dont have a smartphone :oops:

i have used the bigskytv from my phone. pretty cool. did not know i could listen to 1280 though. i just assumed 1280 was out of date since its been a crappy station for us these past 2 yrs.

how can i listen?
 
I have opened a browser on my phone then went to the website for 1280 the zone, then click the Listen Live.

Sorry, I said there was an app, don't think they have one out at this point.

BUT- you can still listen to Carl rather than the meeting you are attending! Just don't jump and cheer based on game action! :bad: :lol:
 
I fully expect NAU to come out gunning for us, you know they believe we stole that game from them down in Flagstaff, and they are gonna be out for murder (in a matter of speaking). I feel it's gonna be a close game with the winner winning by no more than 6 points.
 
Vegas opened with Weber as a 12.5 point favorite - the line has now moved to 13.5.
While I don't gamble, I note that when the line is above 10 points, the probability of winning is above 90%. I do think Weber wins this game (but I have no idea how they will do against the point spread).

I think we were favored by about the same amount of points down in Flagstaff, and we all know how that game turned out, but Weber was having a horrible shooting night, lets hope they have that out of thier system.

It's gut check time.
