NAU part 3

Guys, get the smartphone app to listen to 1280thezone, put the headphone in your ear to listen while leaving the other ear open to half-listen to the meeting you are attending. If they ask about the headphone, tell them you have a family issue pending and you didn't want to disturb everyone in case a call comes through.....

Who knows, maybe they will buy it?

:willybs:

I'll just say, "I'm listening to the Big Sky Tournament. Deal with it!" I'm sure that won't be a problem.

When Weber "stole" the game in Flagstaff (actually that was one hell of a comeback and a win for the Cats) Weber was playing tired and at 7900', which isn't easy right after playing at sea level. Not to make huge excuses, but that does affect a team. Especially if you haven't had a lot of rest from the previous game. A few years ago, the Sky had teams going from Sac to NAU in one day which was almost a guaranteed loss.

Okay...so that was then, now it is a different situation. Weber has had a chance to rest, fully prepare, and are playing on a neutral court. Also, Weber played pretty bad against the Jacks. The Cats didn't shot the ball well, and their defense was soft. Also they committed a season high 19 TOs. I think things will be different on Thursday.

Stuck at work with no internet coverage tomorrow. Occasional updates here on the Weber board would be greatly appreciated, Wildcat fans.

Tal...you added an extra 1,000 feet. NAU plays @ 6,900 feet elevation in the Skydome.

It should, but there are a few games that didnt get recorded, (Weber @ UNC)

It's kinda strange that for as long as Weber and NAU have been conf foes, this will only be the 6th time the two teams have met in the tournament.

Jack...what is an extra thousand feet amongst friends? 8-) YIKES!! thank you for the correction though. I will try to post as often as I can during the game. I'm sure catcat will have three or four different computers running for the game today. In all likelihood you will get a million updates from him (he does occassional try to claim that he is a strong woman too).

The last couple of times, both games were definite dog fights. I'm pretty sure that NAU will not be lying down and rolling over for the Cats. Good to see the Jacks back in the tournament though. After all the adversity in Flagstaff the past couple of seasons, it is hard to believe that Cameron Jones (sp?) was only two years ago.
