NAU - SUU 9/20/08

Watched the SUU - U of Montana game last week here in MT. SUU didn't seem to have much game after the first quarter. They did play decent in the first, though. Still....hope the Jacks don't underestimate them.

Prediction:

28-17 Lumberjacks win

My prediction is 34-13 in favor of the lumberjacks. I think SUU will come out fired up and maybe even score the first points of the game, but as the game goes on, NAU will begin to take them apart with their depth and eventually pull away by the end of the first half. Playing at home the thunderbirds will play with alot of pride, specially after the beating they took at Montana last week. NAU is the superior team and should come away with a W. It won't be easy though and the game should be somewhat competitive.

ahhh, i'm pretty dissapointed with the way NAU played tonight. Lots of mistakes, penalties for loss of yards, the offense couldn't get going. They shouldn't have had that much trouble with this team, but give SUU credit for their defense, they played to win on their homecoming night. I hope this isn't telling how NAU is going to play for the rest of the season because if they play this way against ANY big sky team, they won't win many games. A win is a win and we'll take this one but I don't feel good coming out of this game.
