Coming up next...the Lumberjacks. We beat them two years ago in G-town in a close game. They have a very good QB/WR duo, but the Trib mentioned the starting QB is hurt. They're coming off a loss against EWU in which the Eagles put 55 points.

I'm confident in our offense, but man our defense is horrible. If we do win, it will be another shoot-out.
 
14-7 and our offense is really fun to watch. Unfortunately, NAU's offense looks like they can go toe to toe with ours. Should be a high scoring game.
 
Any chance we could get a camera from behind one of the field goal posts for field goals?
Nottingham Field looks really nice. They have added a lot of nice touches since the last time I attended a game there (which is admittedly quite a while ago).
 
Yeah, NAU is falling apart near the goal line. Nice to see this happen to the opposition.
 
Woooohooooo! Defense holds and UNC wins. After the 1st quarter I thought it was going to be a 43-35 game. Go figure.

Great win Bears!

Just because we didn't beat the Lambs on their home turf given their massive advantages, doesn't mean we didn't gain from the experience.

Let's continue to push the program forward! Fair-weather trolls like Miguela who want to go back to DII and think the best UNC can ever hope to be is like the team we just beat are just that, fair-weather trolls. :troll:
 
That was a close one... got a little lucky but those are the games in the past we would have lost on a hail mary or something... Great to see the other team fumble twice within the 5. They definitely lost is a manner in which UNC seemed to have lost a lot in the past. Oh well, we'll take the W.
 
Fun game to be at, and proud of the Bears for winning this game. I didn't think it would come down to the defense, as I thought it would be an offensive shoot-out. I'm concerned about the offense in the 2nd half. We didn't score a point after halftime.

I think this team is on the cusp of being a playoff team. If we had Knipp, it would help out chances.
 
2 years ago and we lose a game like this in the last second. Really good to see them fighting for a win. 3-1 is pretty much all we could ask for right now. Hopefully we can keep it rolling! I may need to start checking out tickets for the game in Portland and make a road trip!
 
Great game! The "D" really came up with big plays in the 2nd half. There was a sarcastic fan seating by me that kept saying all afternoon that the refs were the reason we were winning. I guess he never played competitive sports. There are two major reasons why a team is called for penalties. #1. They are being outplayed by the opponent, and #2. they have been better prepared.
As for the "O" not being productive in the 2nd half, I talked to a handful of players who said that the OC came into halftime saying that he was going to make adjustments, anticipating that their DC was going to make adjustments. This tactic turned out to not work so well. This happens all the time in football, the key is being able to recognize what's happening and make adjustments based on that. This is what separates smart coaches from smart coaches who consistently win. I think our OC understands that challenge and will learn from the 2nd half disappointment. That said, everybody has heard me say about how I don't like tempo. I still don't like it, but at times the Bears looked very good running it. They even slowed it down when they had to. Hats off to the OC and his "O".
