During the timeout they were told to foul and after Kozak fouled then Rahe told them not to foul anymore and turned to his coaches and told them they were not going to foul. I was there and watched and heard so Kozak did do as he was told and the rest of the team did as they were told as well.

Further illustrates why Rahe is a terrible coach. I’m convinced he’d for 2 when down by three with a last shot attempt. Man, I hate Rahe.

Definitely puzzling why you start using the fouls to give and don’t see it through. Either way soft defense allowed easy penetration...of course they probably didn’t want to risk a foul and upset Rahe. I don’t care if it upsets some posters, I am not a fan of John’s defensive game, and his quest for individual stats. I have pretty much seen most of every game on internet feed, but I am not spending any money to go to the Dee or on the road to see Rahe’s style of play.

The sooner he is gone, the sooner the program can start the effort of pulling it out of the dumpster fire it’s in. I still pull for them to win, but just have no confidence it can happen.

I know a few fans ready to bail on longtime season tickets. They keep this decline in interest for the remainder of Rahe’s contract, and they could move back into the Swenson Gym.

How does Cody John not end up in the dog house? That loss is on him. If we keep fouling the inbound there is no way UNC gets a decent shot with a second left. That was clearly the plan.

How many times did they score on the two man roll to the basket in the second half? That adjustment should have been made after the first uncontested lay up. Giving up those offensive boards. You have to box out!

Great game Kozak! Too bad it was wasted by a senior not following the game plan.

It was reported on Twitter that coaches said not to foul. Also spoke to several players after the game and they were all told not to foul after the last timeout was called . Not sure what the game plan was for pick and roll but it’s crazy that y’all believe a player would purposely go against a game plan. From evidence I collected the final outcome falls on the coaches shoulders. How do you not tell your players to foul? Lack of situational knowledge in crunch time was awful especially from the so called greatest coach in the conference :wall:

Here is the Play by Play:
0:13 Jerrick Harding made Jumper. Assisted by Michal Kozak. 63 - 64
0:09 Northern Colorado Timeout 63 - 64
0:07 Foul on Cody John. 63 - 64
0:07 Northern Colorado Timeout 63 - 64
0:06 Foul on Michal Kozak. 63 - 64
0:04 Kai Edwards made Layup. Assisted by Jonah Radebaugh. 65 - 64
0:00 Jerrick Harding Turnover. 65 - 64
0:00 Matt Johnson Steal. 65 - 64
0:00 End of 2nd half 65 - 64
0:00 End of Game 65 - 64

I'm pretty sure this sequence is correct. Kozak fouled after the last timeout. He fouled quickly on the inbound. If the instruction was not to foul he was the one that didn't follow the game plan.

The refs were reviewing how much time was on the clock sorry I mistook it for a timeout. Either way the players were told not to foul after that point. :ohno:
