Need cheap tickets?

There is a sale on Groupon for discounted tickets. Looks like they are selling some for about half off for all the home games except the Causeway. They are good for the sections on the far edges of the west grandstand.

There also seems to be some additional restrictions in the fine print. Regardless, it's still a good deal.

131 bought so far!

Spread the word, two days left to get 1/2 off all games except the CC!

Just noticed this in the Groupon.com description... Didn't see this yesterday while passing by the Stadium!?

"Hornet Stadium greets guests with a brand-new scoreboard and cheering masses of green- and gold-clad fans.

I feel like we would be made well aware of a new scoreboard. It'd be all over the media guide, I'm press releases, etc.

Sac State needs to do more marketing like this...The friggen Mountain Lions are on the verge of a sell out for their game this weekend, without a single marquee player. The reason? They actually go out and market

Meh. Sac people cling to pro teams. They want to believe that Sac is a big time professional sports team city.

Pushing 300 sold with 12 hours remaining. I thought we might see something closer to 500 or a 1000 sold...

It's a start though...

394 sold. Not bad at all considering the tickets are for the worst sections on the west grandstand. That's almost an additional 100 people for the 4 home games the tickets were available for. K it might not have met your expectations but I think of it as being 394 tickets that otherwise would not have been sold.

I guess you're right. I bet if they'd started up the groupon immediately following the W over OSU, we would've double that #.

If the games are good, those are 300 people that will be able to tell their friends they had a good time as well. Besides, it can't be too expensive to put something on groupon. Nothing saying they can't run it again after we beat Montana.
