Never to early

For next year on defense our first needs are proven pass rushers at DE. We did not have a pass rush all year, even when we blitzed we had limited success. We really need to hit the JC's hard or hope Tuua, Rutton, and Phillips become studs over the summer. Next need will be a mature DT, we have two freshmen coming back, but only three upper classmen. We may even need two JC DT's for next year. Let's face it our D line was a detriment for most the year. A true MLB is a must, Arias did a good job and will again if asked next year, but we really need a true MLB. We also need a JC CB. Right now Viser and Miller are question marks, without them we need a JC.

On offense I just don't see any advantage in going for a JC QB unless he has the ability to Redshirt. Hill knows the offense and has shown he will always challenge for the starting job no matter who is there. Frankly, we need a play making WR and RB way more than we do a QB. Our O-line will return everyone except Henry and Cartwright, the two JC's will be in shape and ready to play next year. I say bring in one JC olineman and two freshmen. We need three WR's, one JC burner and a two freshman as well as a speedster at RB.

The biggest priority for next year will be upgrading our team speed, WR, RB, and CB.
