What does everyone think of the new board?

It seems like visitation has declined. What gives?

Maybe some of you were like me, I didn't try to log on until later, which prevented me from getting the email from the old site. If you go to thebengalden.com now it redirects you to this board.

At the bottom, under who's online you see Google Adsense [Bot]........ I'm kind of curious how it identifies relevant advertisements.

It reads the content of the page that the ad is on and delivers ads that is related to that content.

The new format is a little tricky to get used to but everyone should be getting up to speed about spring training for football.

i seem to prefer the 'old' board. might just be a bit of a comfort level. however, it also seemed a bit more intuitive. i also tend to believe (for some thngs - not all) that if it ain't broke it really doesn't need fixing.

I guess the main purpose for the change was to centralize BSC team fan pages and make it easier to access each team. You can look at this change as something horrible that will make your life difficult for a matter of a few weeks or as an opportunity to make something better that was already good. As an ISU fan, I have become optimistic and always looking to the future because I am numb to the now. Have a great day!

It doesn't have a spell check but most new browsers such as firefox have this functionality built in.

When you say move from board to board, do you mean the different schools or the different forums within this board?

On the old board you had the ability from a drop down menu to go to the fan sites for the rest of the BSC. I do not believe they are message boards affiliated with BigSkyFans.com. They were things like:

Egriz.com
BobcatNation.com
psufansforum.com

...so on and so forth. Thanks for the efforts on this board.

It's human nature to resist change. It's like aything else. It will take some getting used to.

As far as Bengal fans posting... It's also a slow time of the year. I'd bet that come August, this forum will be humming.

I do have this list on the main page of bigskyfans.com that you can see by clicking the blue button at the top of the site. The list is on the right hand side to a lot of links for Big Sky Information. Is that easy enough or would you rather a drop down as well?

what I liked about the old board was that it felt like it was ours, different from everyone else, we had an identity of our own, it felt like home, now we are all the same no diversity, we changed over to the board everyone else uses, i would rather everyone else changed over to the one we use, I know that would not work, but I felt more like the old board was unique and no one else had one like it, I will become accustomed to the new one, and adapt accordingly, like everything else in life, learn to live with it, or go without.

the free site the old board was on is used by thousands and thousands of forums. If you have ideas on how to make this more unique, please let me know as I am more than willing to allow a more customized look and feel of the site.

By the way, Chris. Thanks for taking on this project. I'm the first to admit you are in a thankless position. But I truly appreciate the fact that you are willing work with those of us that post on this board, almost catering to the users. Too many times it seems that all you get are belly aches about one thing and another. You know, "I don't like this", or "I wish it could do that." Few people take the time to properly thank those of you that have stressed and toiled over endeavors like this.

Again, from me and I'm sure a bunch of other users, thank you for all of your efforts.
