New Commit - Emmanuel Nzekwesi

I absolutely love this kid. He is smart, he is athletically talented, and he has a strong desire to learn the game and become a great player.

Welcome to our family Emmanuel. The fans in Ogden are going to love you as much as I and the coaches do. I am truly excited to have the opportunity to watch you grow and develop, as a man and as a player, here at Weber State University.

It's a GREAT day to be a Wildcat!

You found a grammar error on a fan message board. Congratulations youngguns.....that is so cool.

Didn't really care about the grammar...... It's about speaking on the behalf of the coaches that find to be a little wack! Are you guys SID for the coaches?

You went from 7 to 8 posts with that one. Did you finally get wifi to work in your mom's basement?

God it's like being in eighth grade all over again...

youngguns is just upset that the coaches signed someone that they love more than him. It's my opinion that the coaches love all of the players that they sign. Otherwise, why would the sign them. Our coaches seem, at least to me, to love the fans as well. Just not as much as their players.

I'm sorry if it upsets you, youngguns, but I believe the coaches love their players more than they love you or me.

Come on, oldrunner. Don't you think that 'love' is too strong of a word to use in this situation? After all, it is just a coach, player relationship. 'Like' might be a better term. :stir:

The majority of these players are accepted onto the team by the players and coaches, and the relationship is very much like a family.

No. I believe that love is the appropriate terminology. I think that I will stick to my guns on this one.

Great get by the Cats!! Welcome to Weber Emmanuel! This is a hard working, smart, athlete the Cats have gotten to verbal and I'm pretty stoked that he chose to bring his work ethic and talents to Weber State. Awesome!! great time to be a Wildcat.

It is really exciting to see the pieces all coming together, for many years to come. We already have a great young core of talent and that appears to just be the start.

Some players come with exaggerated height. Not Emmanuel. He is a full 6'7'', and may still be growing. He just barely turned 17. He is a good student and citizen. He has long arms and a big frame that allows him to play bigger than his height. He is a high major athlete who has the potential to become a total monster for us in the future. He is a perfect fit for the athletes we have and the direction our program is going.

This is, most likely, the end of our 2015 recruiting. Now we have a full year to work on the 2016 class. :thumb: :thumb:

Looking at his twitter page he seems very intelligent, humble and down to earth. We like these kind of players! Not only for our team but they represent our University and University Community very well.

We know he can ball too! Even better!

He was speaking Dutch (I speak Dutch) to some people and they speaking Dutch to him. I also saw mention of the Dutch National Team... Does anyone know about his ties to the Netherlands or possible ties to its National Team/Jr National Team?

Nice article on Weber's newest commit. Loving these!! Nzekwesi is a big time get for the Cats. He was at the top of our list and it is really great knowing that the Cats were able to get him. Some big time programs made some last ditched efforts trying to get him to commit, and to his credit he checked them all out. You've got to appreciate his thoroughness. He definitely chose the school that fit him best. I'm really glad to have Emmanuel coming to Weber. He is a high flyer, who can really develop into being a major player. He can stretch the offense with his shooting, he can drive to the basket, is solid on defense, and best of all, he is a tough, hard working guy. Weber really got a great kid.

Along with Juwan Williams and Riley Court, I really feel that this class ended up being quite the diamond in the rough. Really was anyone expecting this from this class? After last season and the number of spots the Cats had available, I really didn't think the Cats were going to get what they ended up getting. Awesome Class!!
