Looks like he will be a preferred walk-on. He mentions he chose WSU over USU and loves our campus. Have not heard to much about him. Maybe Olds or Tal can bring us up to speed on him?

Welcome to Weber JC, sounds like a down to earth kinda kid, it's nice to have players that really want to be here.

And he gets points in my book for picking Weber over Utah State. The kids a keeper :-D

I don't have a coaches report on him yet, but from what I can glean from the web, he is a good basketball player and a better student. He is the perfect kind of a walk on. He is a 6'4'' 2/3 player who was recognized as being one of the best players in his area. He will be an engineering student on an academic scholarship. That alone says a lot. Sounds like he may be a better defensive than offensive player right now. In his pictures, he looks really young. He may still have some growth left in him.

Welcome to Weber State, JC. :thumb:

Interesting. Nice find WSUfan. I had no idea. I think, not 100% sure, I saw this kid playing in a pickup game with the Cats in early June. Not a bad find for Weber. He has a really nice looking shot. A bit slow and thin, but I'm sure a couple of years working out with the Cats will really help him. He has a very similar look as Sklyer Halford who is now playing with BYU after having two really solid seasons at SLCC.

By the way...Dorian Pickens lost a star.

I got a chance to watch JC shoot a bit yesterday while at the gym. He needs to spend a lot of time in the gym getting stronger and quicker, but he has an outside shot of earning a scholarship.
