If this kid was good enough to play immediately they would have offered him. :bad:
I wonder what his HS grades look like? Some kids grades usually take them out of the signing day contention. I have seen many kids who are Under the Radar with the talented but the grade hold them back. Teams don't want to chance losing a viable scholarship. As a matter of fact, this kid played at Mission Hills, CA who just coincidently plays one of Utah best HS teams. He was probably scouted there.
I think Wildcats are in the position to get what they can get. With a 2 win season, Im sure the Jay Hill figure not to be chuzy. WSU might be looking toward the future. Plus, most high school athlete need about a year or two to bulk up and work on their strength. This kid looks that way. However, I think its a great pick.

He certainly looks talented to me. I hope he has a record breaking career at WSU. Our coaches are serious about building a National championship program and it all starts with recruiting. To be a FCS National Champion you have to get a lot of FBS level talent in your program. It's hard. If it was easy, everyone in the country would be doing it. Our coaches seem to have the energy to get it done. I have been very pleased with the recruiting classes that Hill and his staff have brought in.

They are getting it done! :thumb: :thumb:

Hey Catjoe5150 Martrel Holmes has an overall 3.117 GPA so grades are no issue. We are thankful Weber State and the football coaching staff have the faith in him that we as his parents do. We believe Coach Hill and the new 2015 recruits will turn this program around. Go wildcats!
