This young man would be a fabulous fit for the Hornets.....let's hope he likes his visit today. With Jiday and Marcus the backcourt would be stocked for a while. From what I can find he sounds like a real good character guy. Just the type kids who are real easy to root for.

Katz got a good one here. The guard spot is in pretty good hands for a few more years. I don't think we are done yet. I here there are at least one more schollie to give out if the right player accepts. Sac has definitely used their best asset (team camaraderie) to land a good player with good character.

This young man's father is a coach for the SD Chargers and his mother was a softball pitcher at University of Utah (also where his dad played wide receiver). The Utes had shown interest so it's an especially good get to scoop him from a Pac12 program that both his parents attended.

I know there hasn't been any signings yet but this class is shaping up as one of, if not the best class I can remember. I hear there could still be one more signing before it's over. We have addressed future needs and shored up the front court with these guys. IMHO it all started with the signing of Dylan Garrity 3 years ago, then the follow up of McKinney, Hornsby and E. Stuteville. This is the way you build a program. Imagine what could happen if we had a decent facility to help attract talented recruits.

Does this mean some current players have left the program?

I've heard some rumors but I don't feel it's right to throw rumors out there. If I was wrong it would do nothing but harm for the program and that is the last thing I would want to do. When signing day comes the rosters should be firmed up. I believe that is April 16th.

Per Jeff Goodman ESPN: Ryan Okwudibonye and Case Rada will be transferring
http://espn.go.com/mens-college-bas...ry-transfer-2014-offseason-college-basketball

Interesting and unsurprising at the same time. During his 2 years here Okwud played in 9 games and racked up a whopping 28 minutes of PT. He brought absolutely nothing to the roster. The positive is Goodman has him listed as graduating so its likely he wasn't offered a scholarship for next season (and rightly so).

Rada made a few shots coming off the bench and but I'm not surprised he didn't get much action. In his 20 appearances (85 minutes of PT) he shot 25% from the arc and 25% from the stripe...not good for someone touted as a "sharp shooter".
