New Big Sky logo. The website is supposed to be updated too, but same so far except for added school logos.

Our school site did a story about this. I'm not so sure I like it. Too much of an Eastern emphasis (unless one wants to count Sac as in the Sierra Nevadas).

I like it. Much better than the old one. I always thought mountains should be a part of the logo because the entire west is pretty much mountainous (and yes SH, look at California. We are a pretty much a mountainous state!).

Meh. Not bad, not great. Not sure how this will look as a patch on the various jersey's. :|

I think really well on white and gold jerseys. On the green one's, probably not all that great. And I was reading that they have school specific ones, so ours will be accented in green and gold i assume.

It looks like the colors of the logo will match each school's colors (see below). I think I like it now.

Have you ever been at pressbox level on a clear fall day? You can see the snow capped Sierra's in the distance.

I'd say N. Cali is a mountainous predominated State. The city of Sacramento directly exists as a result of by-products of the Sierra's (meltwater runoff) and the fertile soil of the valleys.

That's true, guys, but neither Sac nor CP are actually in a mountainous region. Sac is much closer, granted, but still not IN the mountains.

SHA: Among Sky fans, you seem to be in a distinct minority. The general consensus seems to be that this is a horrible idea. Apparently, the Sky solicited a proposal from a CS poster who specializes in this sort of thing, and he did a MUCH better job. That's not only MY opinion, but that of many other CS posters. They unfortunately went in another direction....

You ever been to SLO dude? The Cuesta Grade? Don't tell me SLO is not in mountainous area. Those hills go as high as 4-5,000 feet.

And two other people besides you have said they like the other guys. Not much of a consensus after 23-24 posts. Come on now...

Sucks! They represent Montana mountains. I vote to give Montana to Canada. Then we can change the name and logo of the BSC.

Plus, it's blue!

Go Hornets!!!

Only blue when used by the Big Sky. When used by one of he 13 schools it will be in their colors.

In other words, the Conference leadership.

A CP fan has proposed an alternate design involving mountains, but as another poster mentioned, it looks like Tiny Toons. That would make it a VERY distant third. As much as I don't like the one the conference actually chose, it's light years better than:
