New Digital Display

Says the display "covers the majority of the arena wall." Anyone know if the championship banners had to be removed or moved?

This is pretty cool, it's gonna be used mostly for advertising but it will still add a lot to the experience of game day at Weber State

That is really great!! Thank you to the Jazz and Miller families. :thumb:

However, Jerry's statement left me kinda scratching my head. How on earth will the ring bring in more revenue? I guess it will bring in more revenue based off of the ability to advertise for area businesses and our university/athletic sponsors, but why would a business create an advertisement to an event that isn't marketed and won't have people at? From what I have seen, most fans only come if they get free tickets or the stadium is mostly empty. How much does Weber truly make off of basketball games? You can't get advertising on a ring if nobody is there to view it. Gotta get butts in the seat. Come on athletics pull your heads out.

The Dee is looking great, not to mention that there are actually going to be bathrooms on the East Side of the Stadium. Thumbs up to Mr. Bovee. Nice work with the facilities!!

Having the ring is going to be, in the words of Turdfurgeson, "Tits." So sweet that the Jazz donated this to Weber State. I really like this. I've heard that the banners are all going to be hung from the rafters. Maybe, if we are lucky, we might start seeing some numbers along with all of those Championship Banners.

I think that Compliance was being a little bit snarky.

Compliance snarky?? Never!! :thumb:

Personally, I appreciate his insights, and feel he does a good job. Not an easy position to have on campus. Anyway, if his statement is true, that is great. I don't care if the university feels it is important to recognize a volleyball player. It is a step in the right direction. Retiring jersey's not numbers. Regardless, I was told by athletics, that the championship banners would be hung from the rafters at the Dee.
