New HC Blind Hopes and Wishes

Very pedestrian, .500 coach.
Need lightening in a bottle again as we have swung so far to the sucky side.

Hornets need/require a young high scoring creative football leader of men.
TX State OC, Incarnate Word HC, Idaho-HC type of winners/leaders.
You mean like the poor man’s version of Kenny Dillingham?

Excluding Kris Richardson (the only viable internal option)... All depends of how much $$$ we can throw at these guys...

-Mack Leftwich (Tx St. OC)

-Daniel Da Prato (Tx St. Associate HC, Former Hornet)

-Junior Adams (Oregon WR Coach, BSC experience, recruits like a mo-fo).

-Andy Avalos (TCU DC - a reach, but former position coach here, would be ideal to lead to MWC or Pac-12).

-Hines Ward (ASU WR Coach)

-Eddie George (Tenn Tech HC)

-Kyle Cefalo (Utah State former OC?)
Those are good targets..

Yeah, color me surprised when I saw that ESPN report first.

Other than an advisor, Vick has zero coaching experience. He’d be a name recognition hire at this point, swinging for the fences to duplicate a Deion Sanders type of hype.

Now reading that Sac State’s admin are openly denying this rumor makes me wonder whether Vick’s camp is leveraging the Hornets HC opening in his alleged talks with Norfolk State, which is near his hometown and frankly makes more sense.

I was just about to post that Sac 12 was reposting the Schefter report, which adds validity to it.

Davidson is fine, but the tone of his Sacramento State posts and articles leads me to believe he's still trying to get a source on the inside that he trusts.

These sorts of rumors at least could suggest they’re really looking to make a splash with this hire and do something notable…? And if true the name/brand recognition could be great for recruiting but the zero coaching experience shooting for a still hopeful FBS move seems like a long shot to coaching success.
