Thanks for that insight. I don’t know either of them on a personal level. I like Marion’s creativity w his running game schematics etc. His locker room leadership will hopefully get these next 4 games in W’s.
 
The coaching carousel will be completely bananas this off season. A ton of open seats in the SEC will trickle down to the lower tier jobs which will create absolute bedlam. Grab your popcorn.

The optics of this will be horrible. If Marion leaves everyone will pounce and say he left bc the President was promising him Porterhouse and Salisbury steak was served.
It was all talk, yada, yada, yada.

Dropped out of BSC, bitchslapped back into independent FCS and still no stadium, firm plans or secure funding.

I am starting to be an ‘everyone’.

We need to find a Hauck, Vigen type of guy who won’t jump every six months. Why isn’t the FUCD HC being discussed as an OSU replacement? He has done much better.

Why is there a bullseye on the Sac HC’s?
 
As far as optics…I asked Coach Marion early on how long he anticipated being here and he responded that if the president delivered on his vision for the program…FBS and new stadium…that he would have no reason to leave.
At this point I’m guessing there’s a vapor trail coming off of his ass as soon as he gets a legitimate offer to move up and move on.

Honestly, I just think he has a really good agent that probably paid some random Twitter account $100 to post that and see if it got people talking. Which it did.
 
Every coach is 100% committed to the place where they currently are...until they're not. FCS jobs are at the bottom of the D1 HC pecking order no matter how "good" of a fit they appear to be for the coach...just ask Troy Taylor.
