PSU- Wow, what a great hire! Coach Glanville is not only a great defensive coach but a great motivator, and recruiter.

Hawaii- Big loss! Obviously JG was a great defensive mind, but bigger than that was what he did in recruiting. I know that JR has a big hand but don't think for one minute that the players being recruited were not influenced by the fact that they would be learning from an NFL Legendary Defensive Coach! Ask any top prospect across the country Reinbold? or Glanville? I am willing to bet that ALL will know the name Glanville (Especially their parents), and 75% will have never heard the name Reinbold. That's just the facts!

Good luck Hawaii & PSU, maybe a PSU versus CSU game down the road. I think we are still looking for someone to fill a spot in 09. I was hoping for a Hawaii/CSU game but I think we have a better shot at a CSU/PSU game just because of the traveling distance.

looks like UH had some great luck their way today, former DC coach McMakin may return, he led UH to their best defensive season in JJ's era back in 99 but then left for Texas Tech, he isn't a better coach then JG but he did better at UH then JG did

Honestly? no clue never really plaayed attention to that school, he left for the 49ers after 3 years I know that

he is a great coach though, he is a master at recruiting to, sent 5 Warriors into the NFL on defense that actually play!

I saw that, too. There was an article in the PSU Vanguard discussing the same issues. PSU needs to ramp things up and accommodate any and all ticket requests in order to take advantage of all the recent publicity. Mariani seems to think that doubling last year's average attendance is not out of the question for next season.
