New kickers

I thought we might be in trouble with Gamboa gone, but there are some promising kickers on the roster for 2009. Conner Derby is on a recruiting video on youtube:

Joe O'Gorman transferred from the east coast and ended up under the radar at Bret Harte high school in Angels Camp for his senior year. Both of these kids can put the ball in (and through) the end zone. Nice gets by the coaches on young, strong kickers for the next 4 years.
 
As with all positions, Coach Sperbeck has reloaded the kicker / punter positions with very talented players. JC transfer Augie Heath helped Butte College to a 12-0 season and a JC National Championship. I saw him play and he is not your average kicker, this guy is a stud. I think he had at least 10 field goals and he punts the ball to the moon. Special Teams should help win games for the next several years. Go Hornets!
