The first two games of the 2012 season have shown me that the hiring of Paul Peterson as the OC was one of the best moves that coach Sperbeck made in the offseason, other than bringing in kickers.
He has opened up the offense and has helped Safron to play to his strength, which is the short/medium pass, with the ability to run when needed. He's also helped Safron to go through his reads more easily and not run when the first receiver is covered.
Also, not knowing what play will be run next in a certain situation can be summed up by the Colorado cornerback who said:
"They were calling all the right plays at the right time," freshman cornerback Yuri Wright said.
That is a huge statement from an opposing player. That means they didn't know what was coming.... Deception helps win games.
