New Transfer Commit from Seattle U. Malek Gomma

Looks like we got a commit on Sunday from Seattle. They were middle of the pack in the WAC. Malek looks like a PF. Listed at 6'8 and 225 lbs. Played 2 seasons at Seattle and averaged 3.3 PPG last year and 1.7 PPG his Freshman year. Hard to get excited about those numbers.

I watched his 3 best games and he plays with active feet and is physical. He is not very athletic and is very slow, especially when getting back on defense. He played liked a 5 man at Seattle which at 6’8” is questionable. I hope they didn’t use Dames money for this guy. I don’t see him doing well here and my guess is he will transfer after next season based on how this staff treats guys with his weaknesses.

You are right but I believe Threatt caught the staff off guard by returning to college for another season and had no intentions of returning to Weber given any boatload of money. He doesn’t want anything to do with the mess that it is up there
