New Uniforms

Apparently the Hornets will be sporting new uniforms this season, they can be seen using the link Lt. Dan provided under the thread "Anyone See Scrimmage?"

I have a question though. Cal Poly just got new uniforms that look exactly like the Hornet uniforms from last season, did Sac State have a rummage sale ?

It'll make for good trash talking material at the Green and Gold Bowl.

No, Cal Poly's are similar, but there are some differences. Cal Poly's home uniforms have gold pants and the #'s are white with gold trim not gold with black trim. Cal Poly's away are the same as the last three years, white jerseys and pants with green #'s and trim, only they are made by Nike this year.

It is not the uniform that I am concerned with, but what is inside the uniforms. I am more than happy what will be inside Cal Poly's new Nike uniforms this season. How about Sac State fans, are you happy with the team that will be wearing the new Sac State Nike uniforms?

The pics I saw on another blog showed the uniforms as having gold numbers with the same gold stripe running up the side of the jersey. Unless my eye's have deceived me, and they have before, they are very similar uniforms if not nearly identical.

Being as how the Hornets had an excellent recruiting class and have a coach who isnt in his first year, I'd say most Hornet fans are pretty happy.

But enough with the smack talk, I like Cal Poly, they consistantly beat up on ucd, and in my book, that makes them alright. That is, until September 12!

The home uniforms that Cal Poly had the last two years were New Balance green tops with gold numbering and lettering with a gold stipe up the side that came to a point on the chest much like Sac States. Cal Poly had gold pants to go with these. I am sure those are the ones you saw. A local tv station showed the new Nike uniforms and they had white numbers outline in gold with the same type of gold stripe up the side coming to a point up on the chest. Cal Poly was also on the front in white lettering. They look a lot sharper in my opinion than the ones they had the last two years. The players like them better than the New Balance uniforms because they fit tighter.

They're too new, they havent been debuted yet. You'll most likely have to wait until next summer/season before they are in the book store. Or, they may make them available at games, where they charge $70-80 for a jersey.

They do, however, have last seasons jerseys on sale for $35 +/- with Brannons number 3 on them.

They need to do a better job of getting the Hornet gear out sooner!
