Next Up: The Griz

Alright everyone, I know we've got the bye week but the following week we knock heads with the Montana Grizzlies.

I'm going to go out on limb here and say that the Griz will win on the road at EWU. Then, I think we've got a chance to go into Missoula well-rested with a good bye week gameplan and shock them in their house.

I usually like to make my picks based on my knowledge of the BSC (and have done a damn good job thus far; picked 34/38 BSC games thus far this year on the BigSky Online Pool... Toot toot!), so I'll wait until at least next week to make my pick. But, I'm thinking we might be able to win there for once if J. Smith, Hilliard and co. are all healthy.

For once, the bye comes at a good time. We could use the break, and the Smith injury is just the least of it.

Some consider the Griz to be vulnerable this year. While I'm not so sure I believe that, I will venture this: a Sac win almost certainly shoots down their entire season. That should be motivation as the entire league would dearly LOVE to see that.

Montana and davis are two monkey's we can never shake off our back.

We can win/lose both contests in the 4th qtr as both of these teams play 111% until the gun sounds. davis beat UNC on a last play game winning 38yd. miracle pass. We beat UNC last year under the same circumstance. I bet UNC is pissed, so close yet so far.

I think we have a shot at Montana, if we are healthy. Hopefully this bye week will help. Montana will be coming off two pressure games and maybe even two losses, no telling what their focus will be by then.
One thing is for sure Montana is not going to roll over the Sky any longer, the League looks pretty balanced. I look for us to win at least one of the games that we will expected to lose, Montana or Eastern Washington, Montana State looks fairly even but I think we may be a little more balanced. We should be favored against Davis, Northern Colorado and Idaho State.

More than in a loooong time, I fear. But, we're improving so I don't think this is your year. But, the pendulum swings, and there will come a time when Sac is on top, and we're... well...

We definitely have a shot, but it will surely be tough. This game will be a good indicator of who the Hornets TRULY are this season. A win like this could actually be a great boost for the next 3 tough games and the remainder of the season. I say we go out on top like so:

CSUS- 27
UM-24

Question... Montana always striked me as one of those insignificant states ever since I was studying Geography in grade school. What goes on over there?

Now that we know Wilkins is out for the year, HIlliard is banged up, and Smith is coming off surgery. I just don't see how we can win this game, especially on the road. We'll have to rely heavily on our defense, but I don't think we can rely on them alone to win this game.

Smith is 100% and the surgery is not an issue that will affect his football play. Hilliard is fine and the staff will limit the abuse his shoulder takes by using Croxdale more as a blocking back on passing downs. Wilkins has had a torn ACL for 2 weeks and the staff knows that, so he is not factored into any game plans. We will miss him on the field for sure. It would be differnt if he blew it out in practice this week after the game plan was in place but that is not the case. Not going to put a number on it but I think we will edge out a win this weekend.
I hope to see some new faces rise to the challenge this weekend, we will need it.

Oh, it always striked you that way, huh? Goodie, it's still working. And maybe you should have done a bit more studying.

Not a darn thing. Not worth anyone's time or effort. Stay away!

Whoops...bad word choice, I apologize. However, I'm honestly wondering what goes on over there. I don't even see or hear any national news on the state. Is it known for anything or do I have to check Wikipedia because this:

Actually I disagree...there is great fishing in Montana!

Is not sufficient for me. Lol...

yeah, i was shocked too about kadeezy's cozying up to the griz, ingratiating himself to the other teams fans. thanks for your support.

Hilliard just came back to practice yesterday after nursing his shoulder. apparently some of the coaches and players feel he should step up, play with the pain, stay in the game, and stop being a kadeezy.

Anybody know where Kadeezy is? I do! He's too busy predicting a Montana victory on egriz?

What are you talking about?

I came back and made my prediction on Tuesday just like I said I would. I've commented on maybe 2 threads on eGriz in the last 2 months.

Heck, yesterday I commented on 3 different threads on Sacbuzz.

Don't get me wrong, I would love for our Hornets to win. I just don't think the offense will be in sync with HIlliard hobbled and Smith playing for just the second time in 5 weeks. If we would have been 100% healthy coming into this game, I may have gone with a Hornet victory.

That is funny, almost made coffee come out my nose. I noticed the same thing, a Montana St coach called me and was joking that our fans are jumping off the wagon. Oh well.
