Next year's schedule

not every year do we play 12 games. We usually play only 11. Until Hill gets the program up and running I would rather have a low level team come in to boast our confidence.

:agree:

Dudes, we get the three-time national champs in Ogden! What a great opportunity. When was the last time a program like this came to Ogden? Never! (Sorry Griz fans, you've never been on the level they are on right now) Can't believe some of you would rather watch a lower division team. I did like the idea of playing down one game, but I'd much rather see NDSU. I guarantee Coach Hill and the players are pumped about this game.

You want to play the best teams you can that will come to your stadium. Anything can happen in your stadium. Look at Utah's win over Standford. Hopefully we pack the stadium and the volume level is like something we haven't seen in a while. Also, the Bison travel well, which will improve attendance and atmosphere.

I wasn't saying I'm not excited for North Dakota ( I think that is a great game to schedule...home & home), I was saying in a year when there are 12 games scheduled, instead of 7 road games maybe it would be nice to have a lower division team at home....that all....

I agree, six and six would be great but the SFA game is a return game and since Sac St played in Ogden in 2013 they weren't going to come back here in 2014. I guess Bovee could have scheduled a home game versus a lower division team instead of the home and home with Sac St, but I like the Sac St games. 2015 is an 11 game year and we'll have five home and six road games. At least the two FBS games every year are gone.

Royalty is coming to Weber State Sept 6th! You guys should absolutely pack that stadium for the 3 time champ. NDSU will bring 2000-3000 fans, I dont see the 5000+ that BisoNation usually brings on the road to UNI & SDSU....

It will be great to see NDSU fans come to Weber. Great time of the year to travel to and be in Northern Utah. We are a laid back fan base, especially for football and are fairly gracious to visitors, unless you are a Bengal from ISU or an Aggie from USU. :thumb:

Looking forward to playing NDSU. I feel the 2014 schedule is going to be tough, but a good measure of our teams development, and perhaps, most importantly, an excellent chance for the Cats to gain experience playing tough but "beatable" (that is said with a smirk) teams. I don't see very many wins to start the year. Maybe at Sac St., but they beat us pretty good here in Ogden last year. Granted, the Cats started to play better as the season went on, but that loss to Sac was pretty embarrassing. NDSU and SFA are probably losses, but anything can happen. NDSU lost a lot of players to graduation and SFA is rebuilding, like the Cats. And, all three programs have new coaches. Could be a slight factor. I just like seeing the Cats having three OOC FCS games!!

Bisonation is already planning their trip! What is tailgating like before football games? Are there specific lots? what time do lots open? is alcohol permitted?

I think the tailgate lots are open all day. Alcohol is not permitted on campus but keep it on the down low and you will be fine. Tailgating is pretty good for the first few games and it's family friendly. I'm excited to see the migration to Ogden. It will be a nice little economic boost to the city and state. Utah is so gorgeous that time of year so stay a few days and pack our hotels, bars and restaurants. Don't forget Ogden is an outdoorsman's mecca and the state has more national parks than any other.

I am so excited about NDSU coming!!!!!!!

Win or lose, I'm glad that Weber State has the opportunity to play a high quality opponent. It's a great chance for the program to make a statement.

I will never, ever, ever, EVER complain about getting the opportunity to play FCS opponents.

This is an awsome game to have scheduled.

McNeese State, Stephen F. Austin, North Dakota State and yes even Sac State, these are great OOC series that Weber will have been or will be apart of in the last 3 years. Kudos to Bovee for getting these games.

The way he has handled things in the new coach hire & this puts AD Bovee back on my "good" boy list...or to put it in another way, he should be on the NICE list, not the NAUGHTY list. :-D

Yikes!! Awesome addition to our schedule for next season. I don't know if this will break any attendance records at the Weeb, but it should help get butts in the seats. I'm hoping for a 7pm start too. Anyway that the basketball teams can now schedule a home and home. Since football is visiting Weber next year, Randy and Co..could head up to Fargo next fall/winter and the Bison could return to Weber the next season. The Bison also have a good basketball team. That would be a fun match up too.

Read through their forum thread. To me, most of their fans seem like pretty good fans and like the scheduled game. Seems like a far amount of them are planning on making the journey to Ogden. Great time to visit. If any need help with anything, they can feel free to PM me.

Lets admit this, Weber is definitely the underdog in this match up. The Bison, are coming off a National Championships (three to be exact), and Weber is coming off a wind aided victory over Idaho State that capped a 2-10 campaign. Yes, the Cats are bringing back a lot starters, but...
