Nick Alexander to Portland State?

Take it for what its worth, but I've heard Boise State DE Nick Alexander will be transferring to Portland State. Really good player, just too much depth at DE for BSU.

Anybody know anything about Nick? If he has a motor like Sadat, this defensive line is coming together very nicely! Transfers Tomasi Molesi and Zack Ka’ahanui will bolster a defense that early on was a bit suspect, but holy cow, this could get interesting. :nod:

Here's some footage from his H.S. games. I can see why the Broncos wanted him, but he's only played in a couple of games for them! If it's really just that there's a logjam at the DE position at Boise, then I'm glad we're not playing them.

That's what my "source" told me.....he's very good, but couldn't crack the three deep. Yikes.

Aside from experience (or depth) at the corners and safety spots, this is turning out to look like a stellar defense! What do we know about the DB's depth wise?

Is it common to be adding quality players at this time of the year, or is this showing the strength of PSU's recruiting under Burton?

Probably a bit of both. It's the Spring practice that let's coaches give kids a heads up on their future, and I'm sure Nigel has his tentacles stretched far and wide. A big part of a head coach's job is assembling assistants that not only teach but have good recruiting skills/contacts. He has obviously put together a great crew. :nod:
