No Bears on Preseason All Conference Team

Not one UNC player was named to the Big Sky's preseason all conference team. Eastern Washington had the most with 8 players. Here is the link to the article

I guess that just shows how long Collins has to go with recruiting. Scott did a good job, but apparently not good enough.

Every school in the conference, except UNC, had at least one player named to the preseason all conference team. This is certainly a big slap in the face to the Bears and they should carry a huge chip on their collective shoulders into the season. In fact, they should be mad as hell and use this disrespect from the conference as motivation to really kick some ass! I guess we'll see what kind of motivator Coach Collins is.

I agree with you #1bearsfan. I truly beleive the Bears will shock and surprise a lot of people!! It will be a fun season!

I'm sure they can use this as motivation but honestly who should we have places? Jace Davis yes but I'm guessing this confirms he's ineligable.

I was getting kind of over confident with the new coaching staff and all the positive vibes that everyone was having and now with this list out I have come back to reality. We will have to really have some of these new players step up and prove themselves to the rest of the conference or we will still be in the bottom of the pack. I would love to see every one of these guys go out and show that they were overlooked and get some respect back to the program. This first game will really be a proving ground for what these guys can do this year. Lindenwood will be a tough opponent with some really good players and will come in here with a chip on their shoulders and will give our guys all they can handle.

Phil Steele seems to think different.

I think Phil Steele had guys on the second team but not the first, just like the Big Sky coaches team.

It is interesting how preseason polls and all conference picks go......the real tale gets told at the end of the season. It seems like UNC has solid players in place, the post season honors often go to the teams who are most successful (obviously), and who used their personnel most effectively.
