No excuses next week

Snoqualmie Pass be damned, flight booked for the game. If anybody still has a voice at the end of next week's game, you didn't yell loud enough!

The university needs to promote this to the students big time. Maybe 20% of the usual student there on Saturday.

Spot on MLEagle. When I got my tickets and was in section D row 10 told my wife we'll be standing the whole game cause of the students...nobody sitting in the student rows 6-9 in front of us...I was shocked by lack of students but the rest of the crowd was solid!

It's a sorry excuse, but most students are gone for the break. Unfortunately, most students living in Spokane, have the same attitude as their parents and Cheney may as well be Seattle. Sunset hill can be as bad as Snoqualmie Pass!

Agree with the OP. Everyone needs to get their butts to Roos Field this Saturday. Dress warm. Bring friends. It's going to be epic...are you going to be able to say "I was there?"

So, have always wanted to be in the stands on gameday, but Cheney is a hump from Atlanta. This past week, my wife and I were in Spokane and able to attend the UCA and Richmond games. The ticketing process sucked. For the UCA game, I hit the ticket website right at the time specified for general public like it was Christmas morning after the season ticket holders had access. It doesn't let you pick from available seats and assigned me seats in M row 2. After several "trys" and 30 minutes, got M row 8. Wasn't happy but figured home side was sold out. Felt like the tool forced this selection on me and if I was a regular (2 games a year from out of town) without season tickets; might opt out. Now ended up with seats in section C, after running into a season ticket holder with two tickets available, so we had a GREAT experience at the game. Luck favored the loquacious. The home stands weren't full...

For Richmond, I went onto the ticket site Monday and it again assigned me M and didn't purchase. Went back out on Wednesday and got C row 11. The ticketing system isn't conducive to a good experience. They can track when and where a query for tickets stops in the process, my guess; it stops when people realize they can't choose a seat like on most popular ticket sites. Changing this system would improve attendance in general. Understand they want to sell the visitor side and am sure this system sounded good when the administration is sitting around a table, but my experience says you need to get the feedback from your client, partner or customer. Once someone makes a "decision" for themselves, they are usually more satisfied. Sales and marketing 101. Weather may be a factor, but y'all live in that cold shit and are used to it. I think ticketing is a bigger issue; people don't like to be "forced". My guess, abandons occur frequently after 2 trys.

BTW, my wife and I LOVED the Richmond game, although I stopped feeling my feet after about 30 minutes.
Thank you Scott, Jerry, Verna, Michayla and EagerEagle for making our experience special with their enthusiasm and EXCELLENT seats! :-)
