North Dakota - for possibly 2nd place

This is a big game. What really threw me off is going to the ESPN and the basketball ticker had UNC beating ND 63-61. I thought "what the hell, I thought the game was tonight." Turns out North Carolina beat Notre Dame.

Anyway, if we beat ND and Sac State beats Montana, do we end up in 2nd?

At this point, I don't believe we would want to be second. We are already not hosting the tourney so I would assume you would rather be mid pack rather than top three. I could be wrong as I am not 100% sure of the bracketing, but from every other bracket situation I have been in, you don't want to be in the top three if you are not number one. Not sure if that means anything... I figured it is at least food for conversation.

You definitely want to be either second or third. Those two teams will not have to face Weber until the championship game.

First round:
#1 Bye
#2 plays #7
#3 plays #6
#4 plays #5

If all favorites win in the first round it'd look like this for the 2nd:
#1 plays #4 (Worst remaining seed)
#2 plays #3

If there's an upset like say #6 beats #3 then Weber would play #6 in the 2nd round and #2 would play #4.

First, be thankful you are not living in North Dakota.

Second, this is THE state school OF A STATE. Unlike UNC which is not CU.

Third, nice job by Brian for noting this is the second matchup of UNC v. UND of the day. There's a prior thread by someone addressing this phenomenon.

Fourth, can we gameplan against Huff?

Fifth, focus on the future fellow Bears: Wilson and Johnson are both only freshmen, but getting minutes and throwing down. Husk, Tevin, Lee are back. And BJ is thinking maybe defense and play in the post is not overrated.

I'm hopeful for a win, but I think this team is done for the year.

I agree. I predict a first round conference loss. If I were the AD I would handing BJ his walking papers.
