Let's get it started. They seem to have beat the snot out of MSU today. To be honest, that didn't really surprise me that much. MSU has been up and down all season, remember - they gave up something like 62 points to Sac State.

What I know about NDSU, which isn't a lot, is:

They seem to be a very physical smash mouth style team. They did beat a down Kansas this year something like 6-3, but hey, still a great win.

I think they won some D-II titles a while back.

They've got a bunch of annoying fans on some of the boards.

Other than that, I don't know a whole hell of a lot about them.

I've heard they have a pretty sweet group of drunks who like to drive a short bus across state lines. Other than that, I watched their game against RM and their QB is suspect. I like this match up, especially because I don't have to drive my ass out to Bozemean. God, I hate that drive.

Here's an idea. Since the WSU Cougs are done for the year, How about the Eastern Alumni get them to drive 1 hour and support the Eagles for a quarter final game. Should be a good party to say the least. Spread the word.

Or how about the University calls up the literally thousands of EWU alum in the Spokane area and gets them out to the game? Just an idea. Isn't school out already?

This is finals week so the boys will be test taking and getting ready for the game. Unfortunately that also means that by gametime, most of the students will have headed home making it even more important to encourage the locals to support the team.

the Bison seem to be playing at a very high level at the moment as they seem to have completely dismantled a very good montana state team on the road. How did these guys loose to a very poor Missouri State squad???

Delawares website is reporting the Delaware game is the Friday night game this week and EWU/NDSU will be at 12:30 Saturday...

I believe they've had injury problems at QB and have struggled much of the year on offense. They are ranked 83rd in rushing defense, 68th in total defense, but only 16 in passing efficiency D and 7th in scoring defense. They look similar to our defense in that they give up their yards but force a ton of turnovers and are probably proficient in red zone D.

As for the MSU game, it sounds like they basically ran all over MSU in the second half. Just like with SEMO I like it that they are playing into our defensive strength, and we can get them in trouble if they are forced to throw. But I wouldn't be surprised if this is a much more physical team.

Here's their very popular message board http://www.bisonville.com/forum/index.php

Yeah, been on there and made a couple of posts. Some good info on there, but also a lot of pure drivel. Seems like most of them expect the Bison to pound us like they did MSU. They might be a little surprised come Saturday. (Hope so, anyway).

Did I read somewhere on this board that Bo Levi Mitchell was injured during the Montana State game? If so, what was the injury?

NDSU had by far the best offensive and defensive lines MSU faced all year bar none. They are also the most fundamentally sound team we have faced and did a good job wrapping up.

EWU's offensive line is bigger and should do a better job of establishing run or at least pass blocking. Mitchell has to be willing to take off running when there is a lane for him. That was McGhee's mistake in that game.

Sherrit and Johnson have a lot more speed from the linebacker positions than MSU does and that should help with stopping off tackle runs. Ours couldn't get to the edge. Forget about their passing game, they don't have one.

If your offensive line holds up, then EWU should win. Ours got dominated.

I think you will find Bison fans like most fan groups, including yours. Most are respectful, fairly knowledgable, and pray to God almighty that their team will win.

However there are a few that can be pretty entertaining. But even they are good hearted, just fanatical about their team and want to make sure everybody knows it. Keep in mind that we are coming to Cheney expecting to win. We beat MSU, which I believe, beat EWU. So we feel pretty good about our chances, despite the red turf and your lofty ranking.

Will be trying to make the drive up this weekend from the Tri-Cities...don't know many people in the area anymore though...hopefully get a few people to the game.

That's fine to believe that MSU beat us and you beat them which means you'll beat EWU by 100. Our stud running back was injured and didn't even play in the second half....but like i said, i'm totally fine with NDSU under-preparing.

Taiwan Jones was knocked out of that game, not Bo Levi. MSU likes to take credit for knocking him out of the game, but the reality is he basically took himself out of the game trying to hurdle an MSU defender. Helmet contact to the groin area. We lost him for a while after that while he was getting healthy again. Good news is he appears to be fully healthy again and has been tearing it up the second half of the season.

I'm from the TC myself. Bring a car full of friends.

I wasn't using the "we beat y, and y beat z, so we should beat z" what I said was that we just beat MSU, which in turn, beat EWU, and because of this, we think that we have a pretty good football team that can come to town and be competitive.

I didn't say anything about beating EWU by 100.

Truth be told, if anyone is overconfident it is the EWU fans. According to what I have read here, Taiwan is the next coming of Jesus H Christ himself. If he can't run around or over the defense, he will just put on a cape and fly his sainted ass into the end zone time and time again.

If the dude is so amazingly freakalishous, then why in the hell is he playing in front of 6000 fans every Saturday and not taking hand offs from Jake Locker or Tom Brady? Just curious.

Let your fans know Taiwan is vastly overrated and he will be lucky to get past the line of scrimmage Saturday. The highlights you see on You Tube were fabricated, just like the moon landing. Relax this week, we will be lucky to score and our beautiful turf will give you Bison the advantage as we are still getting used to playing on it, as you can see by our 6-0 record. Drive safe and we will see you in our humble tailgate Saturday morning. Also, don't worry about JC Sherritt knocking the snot out of every Bison who comes near. He is also overrated, many of his tackles were made when our opponents were blinded by the Red.
