• Hi Guest,

    We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

    With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

North Dakota State @ Eastern Washington

I didn't visit the Bison blog and saw some funny and lame stuff on our blog but every encounter I had today with the Bison faithful was great. They are good fans and ND State played as well as we did today, we just had home field and we got some breaks. Having said that, we won despite our best WR getting shutout and our best player injured. Our QB kept his head and won the game with the late TD drive and a great pass in OT. I have forgotten his performance prior to that already, moving on to face the defending national champion in Cheney next weekend. If anyone on the faculty or staff ever complains about the value of EWU athletics to me again I will scream. Three straight home playoff games and national TV our academic leaders couldn't dream of proves that every dollar spent on athletics has been more than worthwhile. Villanova is coming to Cheney, how amazing is that?

After I got back to the hotel, I checked in on the game on Bisonville (BTW why no GT on our site?) and have a couple of observations. First, please don't change our format - their's is almost unreadable and results in threads that are over 100 pages long because each entry has large avatars in the signature blocks that are part of the body of every entry. Second, just before the OT there were a couple of comments stating how stupid our fans must be since we were leaving the game - they were obviously unaware that the fans were savvy enough to go fill the stands in the end zone where the OT play was taking place. Third, I met some gracious fans and I met some jerks who were here, but almost uniformly on their forum both before and after the game, the fans that attended the game took every opportunity to ridicule our locale, school, facilities, fans and hospitality (we'll acknowledge that our stadium needs work but the rest is out of line). North Dakota is one of the few states that I haven't been to but I find it hard to believe that it's that much superior to the eastern Washington/Idaho area. I have no doubt whatsoever that the people are not superior so I found their comments offensive and in poor taste. Nevertheless, I hope they had a good trip back (given the midwest weather considerations) and would hope that after their disappointment wans somewhat they can be a bit more moderate in their assessments.

North Dakota is very similar to E. WA minus the forests, mountains, clear water lakes and streams, deep river canyons, decent sized city...

Yeah they've got a ton to feel superior about. :mrgreen:

Just like your rivals to the east of Cheney over is Missoula...the average NDSU fan representation on the internet doesn't match what you meet in real life. NDSU fans I met when I lived in Fargo were intelligent, interested in the goings-on of other schools/football programs and stereotypically "Minnesota/North Dakota/midwest" nice.

Not always the case once the interaction is done from the safety of behind a keyboard. EWU has it's own dirty laundry (a snarky Eags fan that posts on championshipsubdivision.com?) out there in internet land as well.

Fargo metro area has some fun stuff going on with three local colleges. Cheney and Spokane do as well.

That all being said....give Villanova hell next week, Eagles.

HAHAHAHAHA after all the shit talking from NDSU fans they fucking lose.
NickEag;
Can't be very proud to have stmts like yours part of Eagle country. Very poor sport. The Bison are a VERY good team that made the)Eagles look bad and thus a close game.
Ultimately fans like you are the real losers.
GETA GRIP clawman, we could've won that game before half!!!(but didn't) 7 turnovers and still win!!! Never seen a forum talk so much SMACK before a game, all the BS comes with the forum ,these guys were clowns!!!! GOEAGS!
