NAU will be down 1 or 2 players for tonights game. Leading scorer JoJo Anderson (who had 11 points in Holt) is doubtful...

Anderson, however, will likely be unavailable again this week with a hip injury. Having missed the past two games in Montana, Anderson left Northern Arizona without its leading scorer and leader in offensive rating.

Freshman forward Lenell Henry (who played 15 minutes and scored 4 in Holt) was arrested for assault and has been suspended indefinitely...

The announcer said NAU only had 8 players available to play last night. I thought we might try to play at a faster pace, but a win is a win. These 16 point leads are killing me! Second half was killer. Only 1 2-point FG. All the rest 3's.

What's up with the early afternoon game on Saturday? 12:30? The Montana coach was pissed when they had to go to SUU for the same start time. He said maybe they should start scheduling 9:00 a.m. Saturday games. It just seems early for a mountain time start.

North Dakota and SUU play all their Saturday home games in the afternoon. In my view that’s an unfair advantage to the home team, especially when you’re busing from Flagstaff, like ISU is. If I were Big Sky king for a day, I’d establish a standard starting time window on Saturday evening for all conference games (say between 5 and 7 pm local time).

North Dakota won't be an issue much longer, but you have to remember, hockey is king there. They play Friday/Saturday night games, and they average over 11,000. When ISU/Weber made the trip there a few weeks back, UND also was hosting hockey that weekend. The conference should have made them play Sunday basketball games, but I'm guessing ISU, SUU, and Weber might not be happy.

SUU has gymnastics, and UNC has wrestling. I believe all take place in the basketball arena, but I have no idea if they host the same days as basketball. The 12:30 start time is a joke, though. The conference should make them schedule later or play Sunday.

Evans is not an offensive coach 60 points is good for him. GO BENGALS

As soon as they build a lead, they slow down. I'll never understand his subbing philosophy. Why start Dowd, play him for a few minutes, then never insert him in the game again? He was subbed out right after he hit the 3. Boyd is great, and I like him coming off the bench, but after 3 minutes of game time for Dowd? There was one point in the game when you could see the ISU bench, and McCord was sitting at the end all by himself, with several empty seats between him and the rest of the team. That probably summed up the season for him.

I think Dowd was pulled because he took that shot although he swished it. He must not be a designated shooter. I heard Evans say in an interview he trusted Boyd, which I thought was an odd thing to say. GO BENGALS

Between men and women SUU has I believe four different starting times this season.

And next week the ISU women's basketball team has a killer road trip.

Get up early Wednesday, travel all day, get to Greeley, practice then have to play a NOON start on Thursday (kids game), UNC is smart, they are doing the same thing to Weber that Saturday, it's another Noon start, after Weber has to travel from Grand Forks all day Friday. Then ISU has to get up early Friday, travel all day to Grand Forks and play UND at 2PM Central Saturday.

Ridiculous but that's a "home court" advantage. Yes UNC and UND have to play early too but they don't have to travel all day either.

I hope next year when ISU schedules their "kids game" they'll do it against a conference opponent who has to fly / bus to Poky the day before (UNC, PSU, SAC or EWU) instead of playing a school like the College of Idaho whom they were going to hammer regardless of what time the game was played.

Dowd wasn't pulled because he took the 3, he was pulled for another reason that got Coach pretty upset. I'll just say that Sammy was having some conversations on the court he apparently should not have been having.

For the first time I see why some think that our AD is a problem. It's in the way Evans is subbing. He isn't subbing to win he is subbing to exert his authority. Among other comments sounds like he and his players are on different pages.
Let's face it unlike other sports basketball players can be turned loose and do pretty dang good without a coach, heck that's what they call the NBA.
I see our AD has hired some pretty stubborn coaches, showing a great lack of trust in their student athletes. That's what kind of coach Kramer was.
No one wants to play sports for their mom at the collegiate level. These men need guidance, not rode like a bronco.

Then pull Dowd, chew his a$$ out on the bench, put him back in later. NAU had 8 players. 8. Instead of trying to wear them down, Bill plays minimal amount of players so they get just as worn. His subbing stinks.

He recruited a rebounder, and he sits him. NAU killed ISU on the boards AND second chance points. NAU killed us with points in the point. The Bengals leading rebounder was once again a player who is under 6 feet.

There are times where I think he plays who he personally likes, and not who is necessarily the best option.

Let’s be honest....... Evans time has come and gone. The program needs a reboot. We’re better this year and the Weber win was awesome, but we are not going to compete for a top seed or championship with Evans as our coach. Great guy and great representative of our school, but not the guy who is going to improve our program.

Let’s win some games...... let’s go to Reno with a chance to win. I realize it’s not this year, but in the near future!

Evans is ISU Mens Head Basketball coach this season so we have to stand behind him and support the team, we all have ideals on whats best for the team. Lets try to stay positive discuss games we've seen a lot of improvement in the last few weeks. Lets just hope that by Reno were playing our best basketball.

.....BUT ....we have to figure out how to "finish games".....how to withstand late rallies by the other team....and play great basketball at the end to get the win......we have given away 4 to 5 games in my opinion because of our lack of ability to "close a game out"....it drives me nuts....not sure if Bill gets "outcoached at those moments or what"......but it's ridiculous.....quickly going to get in ISU players' heads .....if it isn't there already .....

I agree with you, we need a go to player a closer someone to put team on their back and finish the game strong. We have a few weeks left in the season to find the go to person, Jared, Geno, Boyd or Balint maybe Gary could be that go to player. I still fill good about the future and I'm looking forward to a good run in the conference tournament.

....I honestly thought it would be Geno this year....or Jared when he joined us....someone to take control and settle everyone down......
