Why wouldn't they want to host??

If they win the conference title, of course the Bear would host.

As for the game. Wow, I haven't seen a Wildcat team look that bad since the 05-06 squad. Yes, the Bears are good, but come on, Weber did a great job of pissing down their legs and shooting themselves in the feet.

Funny, that's exactly what Montana fans said after they played us, and what Montana State fans said after they played us, and Idaho State fans, too. Wait a minute...I see a common denominator here!

TROLL

ISU fans?? Seriously?? YOu really are an idiot. They know their team sucks. They wouldn't make any excuses. MSU, their fans know that they have been over-achieving and got lucky with a couple of their W's. As for UM...sorry, but thats the best team in the conference. I've watched all the teams play, and personally, I think they are the best. I hate to say it but its true. The Bears...I like them. They play hard.

How am I trolling? You're the one calling people names.

I'm just saying that all I've heard this year is that UNC won games not because they played well, but because (insert team here) played poorly. I'd like to know how many teams are going to have to "play poorly" against UNC before it stops being a coincidence.

As for UM being the best team in the conference, I guess you're simply choosing to ignore the Bears' 63-45 win over the Griz, a game in which UNC never trailed and was never tied. Either that or you think that when two teams play, the better team generally loses by 20. Either way, I see a flaw in your logic.
Son, I think your a little overconfident about your team.
Remember a few years back when you played Weber in Ogden and you were ahead 7 pts with 49 secs to go, only to choke in the final seconds and lose. UNC are Choke artists. I enjoyed that night thoroughly just as you enjoyed saturday night thoroughly.
I hope that a bus of Northern Colorado Die Hard fans come to the game on saturday. It will be one for the ages. And you will leave dissapointed like last year.

patten jr made this sign last year. lol

I think my team doesn't have a losing record in conference play, your team does.
Remember a couple nights ago when we absolutely blew you out of the water and the game was never close? Yeah, Devon Beitzel, our best player, had 5 points and 4 turnovers in what was easily his worst performance of the season. He won't repeat that performance this week.
You're right, though, the game will be one for the ages, UNC has never started 8-0 in conference play before.

Talking smack to a team that just destroyed you is a bad idea. Though I'm pretty sure most Weber fans know that.

The Bears have a good team. I'll admit it. I hope they do, since they have 5 fifth year seniors on the team, no injuries, and played 4 of their first 7 at home, with two road games against conference dwellers Sac St and Eastern Washington. While, yes, Weber does, at the moment, have a losing record in conference. But...have suffered multiple injuries (the team can only practice once a week right now) two to the two best players on the team, with one of the injuries being a season ending injury to the best player in the Sky. Not to mention that Weber has faced five of their first 7 on the road playing in the best Sky teams arenas, ending at UNC after having to travel to PSU on Thursday. I know you don't get this gobears...but travel like that will totally deplete a team. The Sky hasn't been exactly kind to Weber this year. Their schedule has been absolutely brutal and yours not so much. Win on the road and I'll give the Bears their due.

I think we beat NC. When was the last time another school won the Big Sky and got a win on our home court? I know Portland didn't when they went 14-2 in 2008.

I think Weber will win in a close game. I am looking forward to it. I work in the morning but I will be off in time.

Now i understand that UNC has a solid team, and they are solid at home. But i just for some how think the size factor will catch up to them under the basket in the late season. For instance thats why i feel montana has a great shot. Will Cherry for montana plays just about every min for the game and he is slowing down. but we still have two huge game changers down low. Teams like WSU who have a ton of home games left, they cant be ruled out. with a 6'9 sr and two 6'10 250 fr. they atleast have to pound the ball all night when shots are not falling. UNC will slip up atleast 2-3 times still i think. that being said its going to be tough for montana to not do the same.

Montana has to be the front runner to host. Look at the schedules which for both UNC and UM are difficult but the Griz are only a half a game back. Weber can win on Saturday if there are enough healthy bodies. Weber should have 6,000-7,000 at least at the game. If the students can make some noise who knows what will happen. UNC fans are assuming we have no chance at home.

hey all to you WSU atleast until after Sat. Take down UNC please. and for some reason i hope the griz can walk into your house and pull off a win. I know its not an easy thing to do

Another good example, MSU is 8-0 at home, but is 1-9 on the road, they lost at ISU tonight by 5.

They're 8-0 at home because they haven't played anybody at home. MSU isn't any good, we'll beat them at home, at a neutral site, on the road or on the moon. I say the same about Weber and ISU, those three teams simply don't have as much talent as UNC does.

Hey you and me both.............minus the griz coming to the dee and winning part ;)

We need a BIG crowd for this game, bring your kids, friends, neighbors, etc.. You can get 5 tix for $20 plus a free WSU hat for the first 1,000 fans. WSU is gonna dish out some humble pie to the Bears who think they are now THE basketball power house in the Big Sky.

UNC fans think that getting to the NIT would be a huge accomplishment. HILARIOUS!! Thats the difference between an actual Power and a PRETENDER. Weber fans never see the NIT as a possible end goal, maybe if Larry Farmer was the coach, but thats the only time.

UNC best take this year for all its worth. They will be fairly sorry next season. Oh wait, they'll have the A$$man back next year (proctor).

Even with the most experienced team in the Sky I don't think they are as good as they think. They will find out in the ensuing weeks.

you guys are looking at this backwards. all these things bears fans are saying are compliments to our team and program. they stuggle just like the rest of the sky to ever beat us. minus our 2 conf tourney losses at home these last 2 years we have been invincible for the most part since the 70s.

they are all taking advantage of lillard being out and all these injuries. its a small window for the sky to try and beat us. let them do what they can for now. but next season its back to business as usual. lets just hope when we host it the next 2 seasons we make it to the big dance.

this is the bears chance to get a win in the dee. they can ask sac and psu how easy it is. even 2 yrs ago unc had a 7 point lead at the dee with 45 ticks to go and we still won.
