• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Idaho gave up 79 points to Fresno State...79!

:o

Things were so bad in the game the Bulldogs returned two blocked field goals for touchdowns.

Any remaining illusions that some of their fans had that they should be playing "big time" football went right out the window with this one.

Also an interesting comment from head coach Paul Petrino. Found it in the Spokane newspaper dated August 30th, he was giving his reaction to rejoining the Big Sky Conference and what the "theme" for the program should be this year:

“We ran this league two decades ago. We’re back. Nothing’s changed.”

We'll see how it all turns out for them.

Almost as bad as giving up 80 to UNLV. :o

We've been on the receiving end of those beat downs plenty enough, that's for sure.

That said, it's hard to root for Petrino. The guy oozes slime. At least he's not dumb enough to start his 5'10" (on a good day) son as QB. Oh wait, he did. And he ended up throwing for under 100 yards but threw 3 picks.

I know that UI lost the scholarships to bring them down to the FCS level number, but does anyone know how many players transferred out? It would seem that they had to have a fairly large number to drop so suddenly in quality.

They lost their best defensive player to Boise State, but in general I don't think they had an inordinate number of transfers. Their quarterback situation is not good after Linehan left. but their defense has been surprisingly terrible.
