There have been text messages flying around among the players saying that Logan got the job but no one seems to know the source or where the news came from so I'm thinking it was a rumor or misunderstanding from someone on the team after hearing about Logan's interview. There are a couple of Mullen players on the team maybe they know more b/c of their relationship with Logan BUT THAT'S JUST MY GUESS. I have no confirmation other than non-proven rumor.
What I do know is this is QUICKLY turning into a big ass mess!

What, UNC is supposed to be bound by some BOZO on the search committee who said that these guys are the only interviews? What if after interviewing these four candidates Urban Meyer said that he'd like to interview for the position. He also said it would be with the understanding that he doesn't need the money and that the money he would have been paid would be given to his assistant coaches. Should UNC say sorry, one of the guys on the search committee said that they had the final interviews so we're not interested in interviewing you Urban.
I for one am glad that that arrogant Stitt prick withdrew. His parting shot at UNC was that he had to go recruiting to prepare to win another RMAC conference title. Like he was God's gift to UNC for allowing them to consider him. This guy's got no class. I say "stick it Stitt" and don't ever apply your sorry ass to UNC again.
It seems to me that the guys who dropped out don't feel that they can compete with someone like Dave Logan. If they can't compete for the job then I wonder how they'd fare in the Sky?

Well #1BearsFan, that's an interesting perspective. Actually the person I was quoting as saying there would be no one from outside of the final four considered was our AD one of the final decision makers; not just someone on the search committee.
And for what it's worth I saw it a little differently than you. If I were one of the so-called finalist and was told that a decision would come from the current pool of candidates and that decision would be coming soon then first learn through the media that not only will the process be longer than expected but without warning the interview process was re-opened I would feel slightly and move on as well. That was the part I felt was unprofessional. If you don't like the pool you have after you interview them, then tell them all and officially RE-OPEN the job for new candidates!
Like his comments or not about defending his title, it is a true statement in that he has a title to defend. I don't know if Stitt would be the answer or not but I do believe his football philosophies fit what our current strengths are. Now Breske has pulled out as well and I believe there will be others to follow so I hope beyond hope that someone is offered and takes the job VERY SOON otherwise WE ARE SCREWED!
Anyways, let's make a move, don't look back and start getting this program going in the right direction!

Well one thing everyone can agree on we've reached shit or get off the pot time...
They have to be in negotiations with someone and others are catching wind and withdrawing...
There will probably be a leak soon and more rumors and they won't get around to announcing it until next week probably.

It is a mess that is for sure. A reflection on the state of the program. Even ISU who can't get out of its own way in FB has ran circles around us.
