OC Schramm Gone

Thanks for putting that together. 4.7 yards per play with the talent we had in 2018 is an abomination.

One note: QBs in 2013 were Adamcyzk and Chipoletti.

Cut and paste error on my part. And those were terrible QBs.

From my perspective, the insight gained from successfully coaching at the HS level and on the defensive side of the ball, makes him substantially more qualified to be a great OC than he was 10 years ago. At the HS level you don't choose your players, you get what you get and make adjustments. At the HS level, adjusting and developing are key processes. From a defensive perspective you get a clear view of what really causes problems for a defense.

Football is measured in yards, but it is truly a game of inches. Small changes will take us from having a poor offensive attack to a very good attack. I have confidence that some big things will be happening. :coffee:

Admit fearful this would happen...but figure it's Coach Hill's insight & decision to make...really felt better about it after reading today's SE Sports section. Check it out, I think Hammer addressed some issues...said he is aware of the team elements involved, has gained experience & knows there's a lot of work to do.

Interesting to see if the second time around pays dividends...hope so...it will definitely have most everyone's increased attention. GOOD LUCK COACH ! :coffee:

You have to admit that there is no way to go but up. We have been disappointed for a couple of years now and yet have won championships with our D. If we can show improvement on O, a NC is a possibility. Matt is probably chomping at the bit to get going on this thing. Let's get our new QB and hit the ground running in spring ball. My expectations are low. I don't expect to average 600 ypg, but getting to 400+ seems quite doable.

Now, let's go get more butts in seats. :coffee:

Rumor has it that Jay Hill made a visit to Colorado yesterday...

Details???
If you are asking if coach Hill was looking into the job opening there, It looks like he hasn't even been on their radar. It looks like there are 30+ coaches on their list, but not Hill. Sounds like their fans would be more than upset if they don't hire someone with P5 experience, or very close to it.

I think he was probably there for a transfer player or an assistant coach. Maybe both.
